I normally take my time in deciding what car I want, but the salesman Shemar helped & took time to explain the car I was considering. He was super helpful & I made my decision easier to decided this was the car for me. Thank you for helping me get my new car, love it!
Please Stay away from the service team as they don't have a clue of how to fix a simple issues in VW. They will try to overcharge you for changing parts that you don't need just to make profits. They charge me over £1300 for part that did not fix my issue and it was not the root cause. This underperformance from the service team and their lack of duty of care put my own safety and my family at risk as I nearly crashed into a lorry after they confirmed that I'm safe to drive and my issue was fixed . In addition, I complaint to after sale manager and he refused to compensate my money back as they could not fix my issue. So, I put a formal complain with VW headquarter in Milton Keynes.

To answer your enquiry why I gave a 1* review. My wife and I visited your dealership on Sunday January the 15th, the lady in the showroom was nice enough to let us look at a couple of cars, but didn't have anyone to sit down with us and look at our options for a buying a car. No finance was asked for or needed my details were left for someone to contact us and we wasn't! So we visited VW Dartford on Saturday the 21st met with Lee and bought a car within 45 minutes, the irony was it was one of the cars that we're in stock at Southend that was then transported to Dartford which we picked up on the 27th.
I bought a car from this dealership, the salesperson Shemar was very helpful and gave me a wonderful experience. Hence why I decided to buy my golf from them. I absolutely love my car. Thank you again
They tried to scam me out of £17,500.00 by incorrectly diagnosing a fault with my Golf. My VW Approved Used car was diagnosed by VW Roadside Assistance as having a stuck open fuel injector. It was towed to the nearest VW Dealership, which was VW Southend, to get this part replaced under warranty. VW Southend ignored that diagnosis and charged me £85 to carry out their own. In their process they burnt out the starter motor which had to be replaced. Their eventual findings were that my car was actually a write off and it needed it’s whole engine and fuel supply system replacing at a cost of £17.5K which was 50% more than I bought the car for 3 months earlier. I disputed this resulting in a back and forth involving VW customer services which went on for a couple of months. VW Southend then took my hire car off me so I was left without transport. I got the car towed to VWAudtec in Chelmsford ran by an ex VW Master Technician and they came to the same initial conclusion that VW Roadside Assistance came to - the fuel injector was stuck open. Their technician even sent me a video of this. I don’t know too much about cars but it was indeed stuck open. VWAuditec replaced the part for few hundred quid - including replacing the oil in the car that had been contaminated with diesel as the technicians at VW Southend repeatedly turned over the car with a stuck open injector this is what burnt out the starter motor. I have an ongoing case against VW Southend with the Motor Ombusdman and they still claim the car needs its engine and fuel supply system replacing. I’ve been driving it every day for the past 9 months with no issue so I feel they may be wrong in their assessment. I would never recommend buying an approved used car from VW and never take it to a dealer for repair, most of all never give any of your business to VW Southend. Take it to VWAuditec instead as they were such a life saver during this whole ordeal. Update - the motor ombudsman has sided with my case we are pursuing compensation from VW Southend.
Have been very pleased in the past with their service and was not disappointed this time. As expected everything is done in a professional manner, especially the staff interaction. Work completed promptly and car was valeted before pick up.
A friend of mine recommended and I bought my car from the salesman Shemar who provided a good service, provided excellent advice on my car.
Jess was very helpful when booking my car in for a service, would definitely recommend!
