Took a car that I was interested in for a test drive today, but I needed a while to think the decision over. The salesman was quite pushy and kept placing artificial deadlines on things (essentially trying to make me purchase a car *right now*).

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I didn't want to buy immediately because I'm considering a couple of other models that are a bit less expensive and haven't decided yet. The salesman knew this, but said he might be able to make a discount if it meant that I would buy *today*. He went to go and chat to his manager and he said that he was happy to sell the car at a lower price (about £3000 less than was listed). I was pleasantly surprised but still not ready to buy - once I'd said this to the salesman, he just said it was all a joke and that they don't do discounts. Totally baffling! Not sure what he was playing at. 

Never mind, though - there's a much friendlier VW dealership in town that happen to have a similar car in stock! I look forward to buying it from them instead. 😁

Do not even think about buying a car from these clowns. We looked at a car online which said it would be £148.00 a month on finance which is how much we wanted to spend a month, so we went down to test drive it & meet a young rude salesman who was trying to rip us off with a different finance price of £200.00 a month with a warranty of only 3 months which only covers up to £800! for a car that cost £9,798 lol
He kept on asking what could he do to sell us the car today? we said well match the price of what you have online, so he then said let me have a word with my boss & came back with another rude young salesman who offered a little bit less but still no where near the price to online. My girlfriend had a quick look online for a bank finance deal on the car when the salesman had gone for a long time to get his boss & found it could be done for £144.00. So they are just tying to rip people off on finance deals which are not the same as they say online & don't add up. Also they only offered £50! to trade in my car which is worth £300! & got from another garage. 
In the end we went only 1 mile down the road to a good car garage who sold us a better car with the finance they advertised online with a decent warranty & gave me the money i wanted for my car i was trading in. So don't waste you're time looking at imperial cars.

Shocking. My friend and I went in to buy a 3 series BMW up for sale at £19500. We were met with a rather clueless salesman who, when asked a simple question about the car whilst test driving it, couldn't answer it. He knew little about the car he was trying to sell us. Luckily, my friend and I did all our research and checks on the car beforehand. 
He then tried to sell us some cleaning stuff - which they already added to the final bill as 'most people buy it.' He then tried to sell us that worthless warranty they try to Palm off on everyone. When we refused it, he pressed us for a reason why. I'm sorry, but if a customer says they don't want it, they don't want it. Don't harrass them for reasons.

We finally settled on the £19500 + their idiotic £180 'admin' fee. What then ensued was the longest, most drawn out palaver I've ever been subjected to. We were both left waiting around for ages for no apparent reason. We finally sat down with a trainee finance manager and the trainer - an appalling chap who was frankly rude, bolshy and needs lessons on dealing with the public. He likewise began to near enough interrogate us on why we weren't taking the warranty, even going so far as to insinuate that we would be 'stupid' not to take one on a high performance BMW hybrid. When I then made it clear that we weren't interested, he exclaimed 'ok!' then walked off without a word. Disgusting behaviour.

The car was faultless and well priced, but never again would I deal with these people. They made the 3 hour long ordeal the most unpleasant experience I've ever had with a dealership. Rude, ignorant and entirely indifferent to their customers' comfort and needs. 

Steer well clear.

We had a very good experiance with Tom our salesman who was very easy going and friendly no pressure was applied to make the sale we found it very relaxed and felt we had a very good deal
