We decided to get the bus into York city centre from Osbaldwick. We bought the Day Pass for First buses, thinking this was the most cost effective option. It is, if you aren't in a hurry to get anywhere. The buses are so infrequent, and you end up watching buses from other companies driving past (you can't get those with your York Day pass though!). Then we try to get the same bus home at 8pm, but no... it's the same number, but now it's run by a different company, so again, ticket not valid!! So we end up walking in the rain to a different bus stop and waiting for a bus that will take twice as long to travel 3 miles. And they wonder why people use their cars...
