Great pub with great staff and sensible prices. We didn't eat here. The beer here was amazing and the landlord knows about beer! It's a shame there aren't any pubs like this one nearer home.
Called in for a swift one today just on passing. My type of place, nice real fire on the go, good pint, landlady very friendly.

All I've met is a strange xenophobia I was once challenged to a fight which I ignored & comments from just out of sight near the bar. Guess I have a high voice. So I go back visited for years cos I'm brave that way. The pub is a throwback to the 70s. I was born in 1955 so I'm not intimidated & I wish the pub no harm - it deserves it place in the area great fire etc - but I believe in inclusivity. Pubs have to be inclusive. This means, if an aggressive situation ever arises I harm noone & say very little - sitting by the fire with my phone, I will make a formal complaint. Cheers.
A country pub known by bikers for years but don't let this put you off if your not into motor bikes. The pub is very clean and from what I could see the food being served looked very presentable. Having looked at the menu the price of the food from starter's to dessert was extremely low, so would be great for people on a tight budget.

Favourite pub in Wharfedale, lovely staff, good ales. Very welcoming, they don't do food but that means they concentrate on the other stuff. Lots of parking. They also have a pool table and pinball.
