Me and the wife had a beef and onion ciabatta each and it was lovely. Less than £7 each. Tender beef and nice bread. Couple of pints to wash down. Good selection of beers and a nice courtyard to the rear with plenty of seating. Will come here again in the future.Food: 5/5
Had Sunday lunch here. Service was good. Food is excellent. The roast beef melts in the mouth with vegetables and yorkshire pudding and the gravy was very tasty. Great value and worth the little wait as it was very busy. Definitely recommend Food: 5/5
Beautiful home cooked traditional English pub food. The liver & bacon was delicious. Cozy atmosphere with little tables, in a traditionally decorated pub as if going back in time. No bells and whistles, just good basic food.Food: 5/5
Nathan pulls the best pint I've had for years. Known him a few years now, and he's transferred here recently. Top man! Top pub!Service: 5/5
What a lovely pub Freshly prepared delicious food Warm and friendly people would recommend a visitFood: 5/5
Third pub of the day. Cozy pub. Nothing good on tap so we both had gins. No real complaints.
Lovely pub friendly welcome good choice of drinks worth a visit if you're in the townService: 4/5
Can't fault this place! Top quality, tasty, well presented food. Didn't have to wait long either for the food to arrive. Great choice of drinks too. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. Even the tables were cleared and cleaned quickly, by friendly staff.
Lady at the bar was really abrupt, rude & unhelpful - not sure if customer service was the right job choice. If you're thinking of getting food, don't bother. Bland, obviously frozen, poor quality. Only redeeming feature was the sausages.
Lovely location, right in the square where the Market is held on certain days. Good choice of food to choose from, even for me been vegetarian. . Reasonable prices. Friendly staff .. clean toilets which is always important friendly atmosphere, children are allowed. In colder months, nice to sit near the wood burning fire, gives a cosy atmosphere. Space at the side of the pub to sit outside with seating and tables etc. In all, a lovely traditional, old fashioned pub with a lot of character and history .. always go here for a drink or two .. not tried the food yet, but looks very tempting. Definatley worth a visit
