A very good bar in a central location. It is located near Glasgow Central train station. Can get very busy, but this is a testament to this Glasgow institution. Good for groups and solo visitors. If you like a chat, this place can be very engaging, I enjoyed a conversation with people from Norway and Germany. Staff are friendly, and the beer on tap is chilled to perfection.
Stopped in for a pint and some football. Lived up to its reputation. Very large after work crowd that rolls into the Thursday night crowd. Prices very reasonable. Didn't have any food while we were there.Service: 5/5
Down to earth pub with character. Bar lads and lasses were top notch with solid music taste when she puts on her 80s playlist. Solid place, nicely tucked away, doesn't look or feel pretentious.Service: 5/5
Good beers, friendly service, traditional pub atmosphere. Good mix of customers. And the longest bar in UK!Service: 4/5
The longest bar in Scotland with 3 cask ale pumps tucked away forlornly into one of the bends. Don’t let that deter you as the beer was superb so too the staff. Great friendly atmosphere, multi showing sports channels. If you see a seat - grab it, they’re at a premium when it’s busy Service: 5/5
We ordered the bangers and mash and the fish and chips and they were delicious! The food came out within a resealable time and the waitress / bartender was so friendly and offered tips for exploration around the city. We ate lunch here and there happened to be a lunch special from noon - 4 and they were some of the best prices of our entire vacation: 2 meals, a side of onion rings, and 1 coke wasn’t even £20. What a deal! I’d eat here again if I make it back to Glasgow!
Nice pub, it’s beautifully decorated and drinks are decent. I recommend this pub.Food: 5/5
The staff couldn't wait to get food put despite telling them our full table had not yet arrived and they were hurrying to get food in again despite us not bring finished . Not worth £20 per table. Not the "tapas" we were expecting. Nachos chicken nuggets and dirty fries ! Entertainment great thoFood: 2/5
Went to grab a bite and a pint, had to go upstairs because downstairs was very busy. On the entrance it reads “famous for our horseshoe pie” or something like that; I ordered it and it was not good at all. But I suppose it’s a good place for drinks.
A traditional pub which serves decent beer. The price of a pint was reasonable too for a city centre location We visited on a midweek evening and enjoyed the ambience in the ground floor bar. I would happily visit here again.
