Rhoderick Dhu

About

A busy city centre traditional pub near Central Station, perfect for after-work drinks, great sports coverage, proud winners in Best Bar None Awards

Story

With its high ceiling, wood-panelled walls and horseshoe-shaped bar that juts into the room, The Rhoderick Dhu is a lively city-centre bar that takes its sport seriously. Switching from horseracing to football - or whatever big tournament is on - it hits the back of the net with a wide age range thanks to the three Sky boxes and multiple screens. It has its own built-in smoking courtyard to the rear - complete with plasma TV, heaters and fairy lights - and it also has a sizeable downstairs function room, known as the Ruag, ideal for business meetings, birthday parties and retirement dos: call for details.

Really nice pub. Wooden decor; friendly staff and good beer. Well run keeping the social distancing guidelines in strict control. Food not bad usual fare from a pub group. Plenty of sport if that's what you are into but not intrusive enough to stop conversation. Recommended
Well organised and run, just in for 1 drink while waiting on a train. Pleasant staff. Good safety controls.
Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Good place for watching sports.
Felt the way I imagined a Glaswegian pub would. Comfortable and friendly, with some good American style beers from Brewdog to satisfy the non-lager crowd.
This Is a great pub with all sports friendly staff great food n drink next to central station must try
Best pub . Close to station. Great for sports and meeting friends
Brilliant local bar in Glasgow city centre. Friendly staff and great draught and whisky selection.
We were asked to leave apparently one of our party spoke loudly, a well respected school teacher who was so confused with this decision. Also the gents toilets are probably the worst I've ever experienced, they absolute stink of urine, really bad I swear.
