Great traditional styled pub good pint of Guinness served by friendly and welcoming bar staff

Delicious steak and ale pie and very reasonable prices. You can get 2 mains for 10 pounds and even a single meal is hardly more than 7 pounds. Portions are large enough and jacket potato as well as steak and ale pie were delicious. The place is a little hidden in a small alley off the main road, worth the visit.

Nice pint. The bar has lot's of potential but was very quiet and only had one small TV for CL league football. I used to really like this pub but it's needs improving as similar city centre pubs are much busier and creating a better atmosphere.

Great pint spoiled by a barmaid in need of charm school attendance. She was as welcoming as seasonal flu. Used to have great friendly staff in this bar and always looked forward to visiting it when in the city but will go elsewhere from now.

The bar itself is stunning. Beautiful old fashioned kind. Wine was ok. Great location . Right in the city centre but feels like you're a million miles away. So quiet. Staff were all youngsters n the only thing that jangled about the whole visit

Great place for night out. Should b more staff on it was neatly 4 deep standing at bar to b served. Good atmosphere

Staff are exceptionally polite and professional. Also with fantastic food and drink available.
