Welcome to one of the finest hotels in the north of England. Hallmark Hotel The Queen, Chester is situated in central Chester, close to Chester Railway Station and minutes walk from the Roman walls, Roman sites and museums and the wonderful shopping experience of this great historic city.

This Chester hotel has been transformed in recent years by the Feathers Group combing the wonderful architecture and tradition of this grand marque hotel with highly creative and contemporary design, guaranteeing all our clients a quite unique experience.

The hotel has enjoyed many celebrities and dignitaries through its doors over the years including Charles Dickens, Lilly Langtry and Cecil Rhodes. In the summer of 2008 the Hallmark Hotel The Queen, Chester became the largest hotel in Chester with 218 bedrooms through the creation of the “Kings at the Queen”, a superb conversion of an adjacent building into a further 87 super deluxe suites and an executive lounge, bar and restaurant which added to the already existing award winning top quality bedrooms, restaurant, bar, lounge conference and banqueting facilities within this central Chester hotel.

Booked in 2 nights band b and 3 course dinner included. Quick efficient check in with friendly staff. Room spacious with super king bed large bathroom and clean. Ate in kings grill for dinner delicious food with excellent service. Breakfast both mornings was perfect with a full buffet. We ate in "The Waiting Room" pub style again the food and service was excellent. Would certainly recommend The Queens.

Surprised at the beautiful interior staircase, sculptures, paintings in this hotel.  The outside garden was a delight and lit up during the evening.  We ate in the King's Grill, the service was excellent, staff fantastic.  Food OK. Our room was comfortable if not warm, bathroom new and spotless.  However we were next to leave lift and fire door which was quite noisy during the night. Overall had a nice stay and staff were pleasant friendly and helpful.

We recently had a 2 day/1night stay at your Queen Hallmark Hotel Chester a part of a present for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary.We just want to say what a wonderful experience it was. It is much more than a fantastic place to stay,it is also an art gallery/museum and wonderful Roman themed gardens all rolled into one.       We were very fortunate to stay in room 233 and our first reaction was WOW!!! a beautiful room,with a four poster bed and large,bubble spa bath. As we explored the hotel we found interesting historic information,photographs,statues etc.around almost every corner and finding all the 3d art around the gardens was great.  On top of all that the friendly,efficient staff in all areas,the dining experience and the cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. Many,many thanks for our short but wonderful stay.

Great hotel, stayed overnight after touring Chester. Easy to get to with ample parking, although it did not belong to them so there was a £10 charge for overnight parking. Hotel, grounds and rooms all lovely. Had a great evening meal served in there restaurant by attentive and pleasant staff. Rooms were great with free tea & coffee. Bed was really comfortable. Bathroom was modern & clean. Went for the help yourself all you can eat full English for breakfast next morning and you are spoilt for choice with all types of cereals,breads & juices. Really sets you up for the day. Would recommend and stay again.

Railway heyday hotel as it should be. King's wing has enjoyable bedrooms breakfast great. Didn't dine but food smelled wonderful when passing. Next time in Chester, will definitely stay here and try dinner. All prices reasonable. Been back again and ate in. Good quality and well prepared fare with good service.
