The car was delivered on 23/1/25 but was missing a boot cover and voltage cover which took 3 weeks before they were delivered. I was not shown around the car or shown how to use the MMI system and still can’t get into it. I would not touch Hitchin Audi with a barge pole, absolutely disgraceful service. I was also not told of the increased road tax of £600 and I am in the process of complaining to the FCA about this non disclosure.
Having lived in the Hitchin area for over 20 years and owned 5 Audi’s in that time, we continue to be astounded by the poor service of Hitchin Audi. Today was no exception. Simple question, “can I have the digital service record of my car please? The Audi system won’t allow me to access the history as it’s asking for a code I no longer have.nHA: No, not without the V5.nMe: But I’m in the car, have photo ID, have live Audi finance and have had the car serviced here.nHA: You might not still own the car. You can send an email of the V5 instead.nMe: What? I’m in the car, have live Audi finance and have had the car serviced here. How is emailing a V5 proving anything?nLeaves dealership astonished at the non sensical approach and poor service to never return again. FYI a V5 clearly states that its presence is NOT proof of ownership.nWhilst this is a small incident the “computer says no” attitude is indicative of the overall service of this dealership. Best avoided.
I got my Audi back in August and I can’t thank the team enough. When I initially went I viewed some Audis and albeit all were nice but none were sticking out to me. As I left I saw one which was the exact colour and model I wanted. I emailed Chris Dowling to which he said that one had already been sold but he came back and advised me a brand new 24 plate in that exact colour and model was going to be there in a couple of weeks within the same day. Not only that but the price so reasonable too. The process was so smooth and quick, every team member I encountered was so helpful and kind it made such a difference with choosing my car!! Can’t thank everyone enough and would always recommend going to Hitchin Audi for their car :
I would like to recommend the Garage, particularly the service department. The service department carried out a routine checkup of my car, providing excellent care. The staff member Lucas ensured the procedure was completed smoothly to the highest standards. I received my car shiny and ready to be driven again.
A dealer I will never use or go to again! The lack of communication is probably the worst I have ever experienced. Reserved a car which had a recall, wasn’t an issue for me and I was happy to wait for the work to be finished but I am the one who had to keep chasing for an update calling every few days being promised of a call back with information, but no one called back! When I cancelled the reservation they didn’t even refund us within their stated 3-5 days. Of course I had to call on the 6th day to find out what was going on and to my shock it wasn’t even processed! Ended up receiving the refund 8 working days after cancellation. Worst dealer I have ever experienced, wasted my time and money!
