An Oasis in The City Sometimes you come across places which are hard to forget, High Road House is one of them. The excellent location, the dedicate staff and the great interiors among many other highlights make this place an authentic dreamland in London. The rooms have everything you could ever need. From 6 different premium bath gels and shampoos to an exceptional Rolland speaker which you can connect to and set the perfect vibes! They also have queen size beds with plenty of pillows so you can feel as comfy as possible. Finally, there is a bar downstairs with excellent food and drinks during the whole day, but if you woke up lazy and don’t want to leave the linen bed sheets… don’t worry! Rooms service is available 24/7. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back soon!
Let’s call out Soho House’s 13.5% service charge for what it is - a rip off. For the first time I’m ready to start telling restaurants who add this much to bills that I’m happy to pay a ‘discretionary’ 10% but not the rest. They know that 99% of punters feel very uncomfortable about pushing back but if customers don’t resist then the industry will just keep pushing it up to 15% and befor long an American 20%. So, High Road House, here’s your one star review, not for the food or service, but because you’re ripping your customers off.
Lovely meal, staff very attentive. Although not asked prior to payment, the bill had a discretionary service charge of 13.5% on the bill.Service: 4/5
Over the past few years I’ve only used this cafe/restaurant for morning coffee and pastries. They’re always fine as is the service, good and efficient. It’s very popular on weekends which is usually a good sign. Anyone complaining about service should take into account the fact that post Brexit there’s been a staff crisis in hospitality because most Brits are not interested in these jobs. However those who are tend to be very good.
Surprisingly good full English breakfast. Very tasty.Service: 5/5
Really, really good breakfast. Here’s what I liked: • Warm welcome and first class service • Perfectly prepared breakfast all round • Great atmosphere • Comfortable seating and good sized tables Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? YES Price point: $$ Food & drinks: Excellent.
First time visited this house. Best service out of all of all the London locations. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great wine recommendation. Will definitely be back to this location.Service: 5/5
This is the upstairs private members' club I am writing about. Was in the neighbourhood, decided to try it out. Went for dinner with a friend, restaurant not busy but nice ambience as most Soho House. Service good and friendly. Food just so-so but you don't go to Soho House for their food! Cocktails fab as usual, wish their food is as good! all in all a pleasant experience.
Perfect place to have a typical British breakfast. The service is good and the food as wellService: 5/5
Quietly sat alone in a distant corner of an otherwise noisy room. I then received a phone call from my mother which i quietly answered on my airpods. A jobsworth member of staff then gleefully dashed over to tell me to end the conversation. I’m aware of the rule but common sense should prevail. It wasn’t distracting anyone at all because i was so far from anyone else. It would have been a 2-min chat. Rude and unnecessary intervention. Spoiled my first visit here.
