This is a solid gem of a place. DO NOT stay anywhere in Dublin thinking you want the city experience .... You don't. You want a place that is clean, welcoming, relaxing, close to the city, worth the price, and roomy. This is it. My wife and I were welcomed warmly and kindly. Everything was well explained to us. Even though we could only stay one night, we were treated as though we were a longtime favorite. Plus, the room was great. This is a 10 Star rating.
Best place to stay for a flight out of Dublin next day as it is a 3 hour check in. Fantastic breakfast, spotless and refreshing to spend the last night there. Would stay longer next time as Malahide area is gorgeous with eateries, on the water oh and a castle!Rooms: 5/5
Writing on behalf of my mom, who isn't computer savvy, but wanted me to post this for her: "If you're looking for a warm and welcoming stay in Malahide, Heatherview B&B is a wonderful choice. My stay there was delightful — truly a home away from home. Jim and Maura, the proprietors, have a gracious hospitality that shines through in everything they do. They were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure I had a wonderful experience. The room itself was homey and comfortable, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The ensuite bathroom had lovely soaps and fluffy towels provided, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was another highlight. They offered a wide selection of delicious dishes, from traditional Irish eggs, sausage and bacon to fluffy pancakes with fresh fruit. The location of Heatherview B&B is fantastic. There's a bus stop right across the street, making it easy to get around. Malahide village is just minutes away, and Dublin is easily accessible by bus. This location provided the perfect blend of peace and quiet with easy access to the city and the charm of Malahide. Heatherview B&B is a marvelous place to stay. The combination of comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and Jim and Maura's exceptional hospitality makes it a gem. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malahide!"
Stayed here as a pit stop after landing from America Friendly host Room was spacious with enough beds for us all Toiletries provided as well as a coffee/tea service Loads of closet space Limited windows that can open Although we had the heat off, one of the radiators came on in the middle of the night Overall was a great stay
This was our first trip to Ireland and we wanted to stay outside of Dublin in a quiet area. We chose Heatherview B&B and everything far exceeded our expectations! Maura and Jim are absolutely wonderful people, and great hosts. They were very helpful from start to finish, they provided directions to activities/ historic sites in the area. We enjoyed our morning chats and the delicious breakfast. There is also a bus stop right across the street that takes you into Dublin City centre quite easily. I would highly recommend staying here. We found this place when we had to change our plans last minute. It is close to the airport with on-site parking, which was very convenient. Our host was very friendly and told us all about the town and where to go for site-seeing and food. We are very grateful for his recommendations! Although the room was small, the bed was cozy and the shower/bathroom was very clean, which is all we needed. Would definitely book here again!
Jim’s HeatherView was a perfect selection when we got stuck overnight in Dublin. The house was immaculate and well maintained. We didn’t get to have the breakfast due to early flight. The shower had full pressure and hot water. We walked to downtown Malahide which was about 1.7 miles We passed through the castle grounds on the way which was stunning. I would love to return again in the future. Nearby activities: Malahide castle Walkability: Less than a 2 mile walk to downtown with great restaurants. Food & drinks: We had a great meal in Malahide
Absolutely fantastic first place to stay on my first trip to Europe back in fall 2019. Owners are an Irish couple who lived in the US for awhile, so it was easy to find a connection and bridge that initial if very small gap. They took care of me and fed me well with my first English breakfast. Never trying to eat so much for breakfast ever again! But it was all delicious and the owners were very kind. Comfy room and close to Malahide, a cozy town with things to do but not too busy. Might be a big town for Ireland, but very small for Americans. It was great!
Heatherview is an excellent accommodation for staying near Dublin Airport. Jim and his wife Maura are most gracious as hosts, the room and bathroom was spotless, good wifi, very quiet and peaceful. Additionally Jim is great about arranging taxi's to get to places like the airport or the local train station. Cannot recommend staying here enough!
Stayed twice in June on a trip from Canada. Jim and his wife were very nice and so accommodating to us. Great rooms & location near Dublin and the airport. Jim gave suggestions re places to visit and eat in the area eg Castle. Had great stays and enjoyed meeting them.Rooms: 5/5
