I was visiting for work and there was no availability in Swords for most of the hotels. My only disappointment is the ground floor room has people constantly walking past and it's a little off putting. Otherwise, the staff were helpful, the breakfast good. The beds were excellent. I'd like to see a better climate control but then I suspect most of the time this isn't needed.
Booked last minute as got delayed in Dublin with work. Got so lucky, this hotel is stunning. Right next to a gorgeous beach, lovely rooms, good food and friendly staff. Will definitely return. Only fault I could find is room we had light came in glass door, some rooms don’t have this. With children a blackout room a must. But the staff are great there so no problem is a problem very child friendly. Fabulous view of golf course too, grounds are beautifully kept Nearby activities: Beautiful beach
It is overall a good hotel. Staff is really friendly dedicated and forthcoming, rooms are not so great, they could really need an update. First room I would have needed some cleaning, however they put an effort to change it although fully booked. Great breakfast. Lunch venue with a very nice sea view. Also access to the wide nice beach and to the attached golf course are great. Not to forget the pub with a rich history. Walkability: Small town not far Food & drinks: Very good food
Beautiful hotel. Rooms were really nice and clean. Beds very comfortable. Dinner in the Jameson bar was delicious. And the staff couldn't do enough for you! Overall very nice hotel in a good location. Would definitely recommend it Rooms: 5/5
We stayed here one night before flying back home from Dublin. This came from a recommendation from a family member. We were very happy with our stay. It’s super close to the airport, 16 minutes, which made our last drive in Ireland easy to manage and avoid the city. We did have something sticky and a hair in our bed when we arrived but they promptly came and changed everything out for us within a few minutes. We had dinner in the pub downstairs which was great! Service was amazing. Breakfast was filling the next morning. Check out was easy. We would certainly recommend this place to others.
Great location. Beautiful setting. Facilities could be better maintained and housekeeping completely missed our room a couple of days. Service could be improved too, particularly in the Jameson bar; very unorganized and service appeared to be random; sometimes we felt ignored. Golf was shop was very helpful and easy to work with. Great caddies and golf was a relative bargain for the experience. Malahide is a short distance Fell short of expectations but negatives aside, I would enjoy returning someday. Rooms: Facilities could be better maintained and housekeeping completely missed our room a couple of days. Had to go to the front desk for fresh towels and ice. Nearby activities: Golf on site. Malahide is a short drive away with lots of restaurants and shops.
I don’t have time to write a proper review but I will come back, but I did want to take the time to shout out to Brian, who was so helpful in helping us with our many many bags and getting us a large taxi. it would’ve been incredibly stressful if it weren’t for him going above and beyond! We got married in the Portmarnock Resort and Jameson’s Golf Links in May 2024. We were so wonderfully cared for by Sophie and Louise during the preparations for the day. Mary, Evan, Asif, and the team on the day were a dream to work with and made sure that everything we wanted or needed was there, no questions asked. We had a carer present to assist a member of our family, he was minded and well fed by the staff during the day. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay the night before the wedding with a large group of our families. We were so well looked after that night. Our room requests were no problem for the reservation team to manage. The morning of the wedding was chaotic, as expected. The suite I was getting ready in was so gorgeous and spacious that the large group of us fit comfortably, with space for visitors. We returned to our room that night to find the room tidied with our fairy lights, balloons, etc beautifully placed on the bed. It really made the room, and us feel special. The weather began to change during the day and our planned outdoor drinks reception had to be changed to indoors last minute, after the set up had been completed! This was no hassle to the team, they worked with us to make sure everything ran smoothly, and our guests didn’t even notice the change. The room was so well put together, the small table decorations and favours we had prepped were set out perfectly. Every little thing in the room was just right. The food was delicious! I think we are one of the few couples in our group of friends who finished their meals on their wedding day. The food was too nice to not finish it. All our special requests were fulfilled without issue. We have received so many compliments from our vegetarian / vegan guests to say their food was spectacular through out the day. Even after the night was over, the staff were still smiling as they began to tidy up the room. Every member of staff that we met during our stay and our previous visits out to the hotel, were all lovely. Everyone from the young breakfast staff, those serving behind the bar to the reception staff and hotel managers are just amazing. It is very clear to see that people are happy working there. If I am to be completely honest, there is not one thing I would change about our wedding there. The rooms and outdoor spaces were stunning. The team was fantastic. They made the whole experience very easy and stress free.
My mam and I attended a wedding and stayed here at start of June. The hotel was beautiful, with fantastic views of beach and the golf links, the staff and food were exceptional. the room was big and airy with very comfy bed! the only down side would be the breakfast, they seemed to be a little chaotic as I was left waiting for porridge for 45 mins which was ok when eventually brought to table The wedding ceremony and reception itself was ran very well. Louise and her events team are a credit to the hotel
