I have been buying things from Hawkins since a child, in various branches and particularly like that they have a reasonable Harry Potter range now. However, tonight I was considering buying the Noble Collection Hedwig for my collection and checking my bank balances on my phone and was disturbed twice within 10 minutes to ask if I needed help. I explained I wished to be left alone as I have Autism Asperger's and was looked at as if I had grown 2 heads. You only need ask a person once. I left without buying.anything and will not return now. I felt stressed and harrassed and it is hard enough as it is dealing with noise and things I have to get done. People with Autism often cannot multi task so two people talking to me while I was trying to work my expenditures out was very jarring and I felt humiliated at the obvious ignorance.regarding.those of us who are not neurotypical. Might remember if not for Autism we would not have computers and many of the amazing arts and innovations we have today.
Has been reopen a year now. Some great classic toys as well as all the he latest drones and collectables. I love popping in and having a play about. There's also an adult section. Always good for a giggle.
Sarah and her staff were extremely helpful and I got what I went in for, no bother, no hassle. Thank you very much. I will definitely shop there again
Staff were really friendly and we got what we asked for and a smile
It closed down before xmas but the shop is still half full of stock
