Location and views are second to none in Bath. Decent choice of beers. Otherwise the kitchen is fairly average, the "twin" place at Marlborough Tavern is serving much better and more elaborate food. Both are a bit pricey.

A gastro pub over looking Bath, great view over the valley. Very busy restaurant. There is a quality menu that turned out to be very good. Lots of people so booking is a must. Food was excellent and well worth the visit. The only down side is the car park is very small, so you need to get there early or you will find parking difficult.

Arguably the best view in Bath (from a restaurant). They serve great food here in a lovely historical building with all the architectural motifs on show! For one they have a brilliant open fire and a fantastic bay window overlooking the valley. Food menu is really good and especially their breakfasts - I’ve spent many hungover mornings here and it’s sorted me right out! I can’t fault the staff either!!

We have eaten at the Hare and Hounds many times over the years and almost without exception, the food has been really tasty and the service excellent. Why yesterday, when we met our daughter`s prospective in-laws for the first time after they had travelled down from Edinburgh, was the food really unappetising and cold? We ordered three lamb and one celeriac - the lamb was tough as old boots and the celeriac was cold and tasteless. Thankfully the puds were rather better, but overall, we were disenchanted. The service was all right, but not quite as on the ball as usual.

Amazing Sunday roast. Fast service. Delicious food. Very reasonable price. Reserve well in advance as always fully booked, unsurprisingly. 5 stars.
