Great owners, great selection of ales - always changing, always got really good wine in, amazing selection of board games. Big tables for groups, tucked away tables if you want to drink and ale and read. Fire in the winter and dog friendly. What more could you want?

Really nice bar and interior decor is nice. Has a nice different selection of beers and ciders and nice bar snacks. Bar staff are friendly and welcoming.

Pubs in Bath. Over the last few years we saw many many pubs changing ownership and going through refurbishment. Sometimes you feel a bit sad seeing that something old something dear to you with a lot of history, character and regulars, disappearing. Now with the Bee Hive this isn't the case. It is obviously not a huge achievement a to make something horrible(lets be honest, the hive was not great at all...) better. But the thing is here, the new owners did not just make it slightly better, they built up something completely different and new. You have to appreciate the amount of effort, and knowledge they put into this new pub the Chapter1. Starting with delicious craft beers on tap, great selection of proper drinks (no Gordon's or Bells here) quality mixers (Fever Tree) and scotch eggs to die for. This is an ideal place to go to try new craft beers or just to have a couple of cocktails. Because it isn't in the city center you probably even have a chance to get a table as well.
