We had an excellent 3 course meal here. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the dressing on the side salad was sublime. The desserts were mouthwatering good. After our experience at the olive tree the day before, this place is far better in our opinion. My husband was especially pleased that they had draught beer instead of just bottled beers. The atmosphere was really relaxed. Keep up the great work. We will definitely be coming back again.

Nicely decorated, light and airy atmosphere whilst retaining a cosy feeling. Food was delicious, set menu was really great value for money. Service very good. As others have said, could do with a better/wider selection of beers however that is my only criticism.

Friendly upmarket pub with an open fire in the winter months. Although it is a little way from the centre of Bath it is still within easy walking distance. If you want to eat on a Sunday you will need book early. Well worth dropping in for a pint or two.

We had our Christmas works meal here on the 22/12/17. I have to say the food was outstanding!. The staff were fabulous, and a great time was had by all. The atmosphere was great and got everybody into the Christmas mood. Would definately recommend to everybody. Well done The Chequers!!

Very good gastro pub with great food. Went there for a company Christmas meal and the food was great! They did a lovely mackerel to start and a gorgeous venison for main. Everything tasted great and was well presented. This place is well worth a look if you want to pay a decent price for very good food. My only negative would be portions could be larger.
