Great shop and with a wide range of motoring and cycling products. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is probably anything you need and the prices are decent. I'm giving 4 stars for now because I haven't tried their services. I'll update when I get the chance.
Fast efficient service, pleasant staff, store was very clean and well organised. Significantly larger selection of cycles and cycling equipment since my last visit. Stock levels were good for the items I wanted. Prices seemed reasonable, if anything lower than pre covid on cycling lights and helmets. Liked that they had varying levels of children's helmets from occasional to serious use.
Looking for 'car mats' but were not in stock for my car. Ordered in store and was told they would take 10days. On the 11day attempted to contact store but was put through to customer care. They told me that they would be in store next day. Visited store 2 days later but mats not in store. Told salesman what customer care had said but was told ' o they don't even look at the system. Just tell you anything. They are in Africa and don't know what's going on'. He offered to 'phone up the factory who make carpets. I cancelled the order and he apparently made a card transaction refund. Two days later still waiting for refund to go back in my account. No wonder local shops are closing down and people order through on line companies.
nice bike bought for Christmas. Paid to have it made up as I have no idea how to build up a bike. Had it collected from store and on Christmas morning after Santa had been, granddaughter tried to lift bike. Handlebars came right out of frame! Been to shop today. No apology but told how to sort this or bring to shop. I have a small car so this is impossible. Assistant said I could buy Allan keys and use number 6 key. I could buy from shelf over there!! I got her to show me exactly what needed to be done on another bike. Hope this works. Not impressed by customer service at all. Oh and must have been as an after thought, she gave me a set of the keys.
Asked for help regarding a car seat suitable for my autistic grandson. Could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable. Even helped me to the car with two large boxes! Excellent service
Needed to get my battery replaced and went to the Halfords at Straiton where john fitted my new battery. Could not have been more helpful, he was very quick and efficient. Also his colleague was super helpful in advising products for my car.
Great value and service for oil filter purchase on line. I couldn't give five stars because of confusing confirmation stating that I would receive a text when it was ready to collect. No text came and tracking on line stated that my order was being prepared. I dropped in to my local Halfords to find my order had been sitting to be collected for five days.
Made an appointment to have a member of staff demonstrate how to fit a child's car seat I was collecting. Arrived on time for the appointment but no one available to demonstrate the fitting. A shame really, because the car seat was well priced and the employee who handed it over was friendly and apologetic. Would have given 5 stars if demonstration had taken place.
Called in to have a headlight bulb fitted and was very pleased with the friendly and helpful staff. Went on my way with a quick and efficient fitting. Excellent experience.
A big huge thank you to the 2 guys in the Straiton Edinburgh store today. Exceptional customer service. Fixed my son's new Carerra bike brakes, despite being rushed off their feet! Thank you very much!
