So me and the wife want to go to Manchester for the day on a weekend £10+ per person plus pay for parking, plus its only the really old pacer trains which are unconfortible, dirty and unreliable. Getting a bus to the trainstation isn't an option so I would definately have to pay parking. It actually works out cheaper to drive to Manchester in the comfort of a car. Given the choice why waste your money here. If NR dropped ticket prices and if there were no car parking charges there might be more customers!

Given the state of most of the rail network this station is in good condition. Everywhere is clean and tidy, however, most of the station needs a lick of paint.

Apparently, this Station won Station of the year once. I believe for it's floral garden, though a bit run-down now.
