Dining at Hakkasan Mayfair is an experience like no other. From the moment you step in, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere that combines modern elegance with a chic ambiance and dimly lit, ideal for both intimate and special gatherings. The food is phenomenal. Each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, combining authentic Cantonese flavors with contemporary flair. Highlights include the crispy beancurd salad, tender and flavorful dim sum platters, and venison puffs. Every bite feels like a masterclass in culinary artistry. Service at Hakkasan is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. While it’s certainly a premium dining experience, it’s worth every penny. For anyone in London looking to indulge in fine Asian cuisine, Hakkasan Mayfair is an absolute must.

Overall great experience, the food was quite fantastic and especially the lychee martini cocktail was exquisite. The presentation of each dish was carefully planned however it could have been slightly more interesting in terms of decoration in my opinion. The restaurant’s design was quite nice and a great meet up with friends to have fun however there was so much noise especially with the loud music which meant having a normal conversation was hard without having to raise your voice. The bathrooms were decent but were cramped when there were others. We took the set menu plum blossom where everything was extremely tasteful however for desert it would have been nice to have a special cantonese dish instead of chocolate ice cream. Would recommend for the cocktails.
Great chic place for creative dumplings/dim sum in London’s Mayfair. Elegant ambiance and decor complemented by professional and attentive service. While I would not describe the cuisine as proper Cantonese, the food is exquisite, both in terms of flavour and presentation. The only minor downside is that the dumpling count most times seemed to be 3 at least when we visited for lunch and ordering a la carte and there was no flexibility to adapt and add one more when there are two diners understanding that 4 is not a lucky number for Chinese people however it divides easier by 2.
Had a nice time celebrating birthday here. Service was excellent. Food was great. The only downside was the lady who worked in coatcheck area. Terrible and Rude. But the staff who served you in the restaurant were attentive. Hakkansan should really look into this because the first impression: reception and that impatient staff on 01 Oct evening at the coatcheck was a big turn off.
Food was fantastic but you have to expect that with the prices they charge. Our waiter was knowledgable, attentive, very smart and considerate. However, the service was slow, one persons food arrived 15 minutes before everyone else’s and a drink was literally spilt on the birthday girl. When the food did arrive it was very good. Dim sum was a delight and the mains were good. I’m not a dessert person so the ice cream filled Feraro Roche looking sweet was not my thing but everyone else loved it. Worth a try.
Recently had lunch here with my dear friend. We opted for the £49 set lunch menu instead of the £39 option and are so glad we did because our cocktails were divine! I've visited Mayfair many times over the years, usually the Hanway branch and our bill usually comes up to about £300 for two including drinks. It was refreshing to visit casually during the day and enjoy a nice meal without spending lavishly. I ordered the fennel salad and prawn curry with rice for my main course; both were delicious and moreish. I didn't get the duck salad on this occasion but it deserves a mention, I'd highly recommend it. The chocolate ice cream, although presented beautifully, was a bit of a letdown. We both left most of it on the plate. Once we managed to get our waiter's attention, service was effient. The hostesses are friendly and attentive.
My friends and I enjoyed the restaurant. We visited on a Wednesday night and got a table even without a reservation, although the restaurant was nearly full. There appeared to be only one main waitress busy seating customers and taking orders, so she seemed distracted. However, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was delicious. It was my friend’s birthday, so they gave us a complimentary dessert.
Modern Cantonese cuisine in a cool nightclub vibe decor and music - what more could you ask for? Entrance looks classy and chic, and nice hip music in the background makes for an excellent ambience. If you want to avoid the hassle of choosing, go for their straight up set menus starting from 79 pounds per person. For ala-carte options, steamed dim sum selection, grilled sea bass with honey, tofu aubergine, fried lobster with mango spring roll and beef with merlot are all good choices. Hakkasan noodle tastes plain - so maybe skip that. Service charge and all, it cost us 100 pounds per person without wine. 8.5 out of 10! MUST TRY!
Very nice. When we were leaving, we discovered they have a sensory box for autistic guests/guests with sensory differences which I think is amazing! Most of the food was fantastic, and the service was great! Our server was very attentive. I absolutely loved the crispy beef, wagyu beef, spicy prawns, broccoli and soft shell crab. I didn’t enjoy the duck duck is always hit and miss for me to be honest and there was something the octopus was seasoned with that I really didn’t enjoy tasting. The texture of the octopus was also slimy which was disappointing, as octopus is usually one of my favourites. However, I did let my server know and she offered to take the items I didn’t like off of our bill and get us something else. The Hakka cocktail was lovely. I did feel that the tables were a little too close together though.
