Story

Set within the beating heart of Berwick Street market, the Duck & Rice serves game changing Dim Sum and the eponymous dish that attracts connoisseurs from around the world. Downstairs, traditional British ales sit alongside brewery-fresh Czech Pilsner and winter-warming cocktails. Upstairs, the dining room is luxurious & cosy, intimate & elegant, perfect for friends, families, lovers or colleagues. The Duck & Rice truly embodies the eclectic rhythm of Soho’s most iconic street.

Defying the trend for craft beers, Alan Yau searched high and low, to select premium heritage brews, steeped in history and made from the heart by master artisans from around the globe.

Soho is London's creative powerhouse and Berwick Street is renowned for its record shops, drawing collectors from all over the Civilised World to these bastions of vinyl.

The Duck & Rice thrives on this atmosphere and contributes to this culture, not least by offering a convivial watering hole, but also with its interactive Duck Box. Drinkers in the street level bar can log into this virtual juke box with their smart phones and add their music of choice to the pub's play list.

The Duck and Rice dish is perfect. I highly recommend. As a starter I opted for the Yakitori and the Venison Puff balls. Both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere inside the venue is great. Pub vibe with great food and fairly priced drinks For London.

Just perfect! Can’t fault this place. The food and wine is delicious and the service is great. Our waiter was really helpful in pointing out the gluten free options, too. Love the interiors and general vibe. And it’s dog-friendly! Can’t wait to return.

Really good food and nice atmosphere if u want a cute chilled vibe with friends or a date we went on a double date. Staff were attentive and helpful and the duck...the star of the show...was delicious. Would definitely be back.

Great spot in Soho for a new take on classic Asian dishes in a cool, contemporary setting. You can have a sit down meal or just come for drinks; there’s a dedicated bar area. The mock chicken is very good and unlike anything I’ve had before. The udon with vegetables is also exceptional. Fast service as well!

Lovely service, great atmosphere. The food here is really nice. Loved the crispy prawn balls and the dumplings were full of flavours.

Great ambience, attentive and pleasant hosts and staff members. The food was also good and good value for money, considering portion sizes and the location! I'd recommend trying the crispy fried duck rice with the sweet and sour pork - those were my favourites! Would love to visit again

Really nice place in the Center of the City. The atmosphere is really amazing, prices are slightly high, but it's worth it. We had two starters which were delicious. Additionally they have Pilsner Urquell Beer from Tank and that's the best beer in the world. The Caipirinha was very tasty as well.

Really great food, a favourite to visit when looking for delicious Asian food! There are meat, vegetarian, and vegan options, and many dishes can be made vegetarian or vegan if you ask. The tank beer is also a nice addition to any meal. The price is worth it for the food quality and restaurant ambience.
