Walked past first and it looked interesting place to eat, so went in, full of locals eating, service was appalling, sat waiting to be served, then forgot one of our dishes! didn't explain the concept of ordering food, worked out are selves food was ok, very over priced at £74 for two of us, which included a couple of beers, lesson learnt!
The food was good, authentic Chinese barbecue flavour and the dipping. You should order everything at first round, waiting time a bit long. Highly recommend to try the Chinese sausage and the oyster, they were very nice. The price overall a bit pricey. The service need some improvement.
We walked past this place on the way to eat somewhere else- as it caught our eye we stopped and were happy to wait 10 mins for a seat. It was busy. Smelled amazing and the concept looked wicked. Service- so the system wasn't explained to us at all- you get given a menu and have to put how many you'd like of each item. The Skewers are then put onto the rotisserie thing for you and taken off when done- this wasn't explained but you soon figure it out. The cooker thing in front of you is very hot and it does almost feel like you're sat in front of an open fire. The skewers are small and the prawn one came as one large prawn- head and body and all. This was annoying to pick apart to be honest but my fault for not asking. The chicken was tough and lots of gristle you had to spit back out so this was really disappointing. Our bill came to £55 for 2 with one beer and 2 soft drinks and I still wasn't satisfied. Also the noodles are definitely super noddles....Good flavour but disappointing. Not the place to come if you're a veggie as poor selectio
Pretty straight forward. This place is all about skewers and beers lol. We didn’t have beers so I’ll stick to the skewers. You know a place is good when you see locals visiting it. This place was full of Koreans. FULL. For a Korean bbq place I must say they had a few vegetarian options. So points for this. My friends loved the meat. They particularly liked the steak ribs they ordered extra. The skewers themselves were kinda small so make sure you get enough to fill you up. Service was not their strongest suit but it was very busy when I went so maybe it was just a bad day. Overall very polite staff and interesting experience of us grilling our food. On the downside, at some point I really felt my face would burn from the grill placed in the middle of our table. But I guess I’m just a shorty. The others had no issue. Lol.
This place has quite a simple concept of serving skewers to be cooked at the table. I found the quality of the ingredients to be decent. The portion sizes were rather small but the bill was also quite low. The dipping spices were great and really enhanced the experience. Unfortunately both the service and the beer selection were quite poor. My rating: 3.2
The food portion size is so small for what you pay for. The atmosphere is good and the vibe in the place is nice. They asked me to pay by cash only - a little sketchy if you ask me. Once I said only card, they said it doesn’t work very well but saw other people paying with card at the moment with no problems at all. The food is fresh, the pre cooked food is also very good. The price doesn’t match the quality of the meet that is provided. The toilet was not clean in the slightest..
First time visiting bbq skewer lover here, really glad I tried it despite reading negative reviews. Firstly the cost of skewers, despite being located in the heart of london, their prices are very similar if not less than other skewer places outside central london. I especially enjoyed the pork belly skewer usually a huge lamb fan, it was so juicy and tender. It was a nice surprise to see they had crayfish on the menu, which was delicious. The cold noodle dish was very refreshing and full of flavour, really enjoyed the texture of the noodles itself. I will definitely be returning
IT was really fun and enjoyable ! the staff were very helpful - giving out more napkins and taking the skewers off when they were done. I had 10 + skewers and fried rice. I was happy with all of my choices. Many of them were marinated - so u don't need to use the spices they lay out for you. The beer was a little flat. They didn't add on any service with the bill, so I left the staff a tip. They deserved it.
Very small potion, my friend and I decided to go to another restaurant for a proper meal after. Meat quality is ok, dipping powder tastes a bit like the flavour packs in instant noodles.
If you fancy a snack with plenty of choices on skewers and a beer with it than why not try out this place. But once you tried it than the novelty wears off rather quick.
