I have stayed here a few times now. You get what you pay for. Clean basic hotel. Easy to get too. Has parking. I would say the staff at this particular hotel are great. Welcoming and very helpful.Rooms: 5/5
Coffee machine in restaraunt out of order 2 days. Rooms tidy and adequate. Shower/ toilet very clean but shower curtain 2 inches short in length so water ran down curtain and onto bathroom floor H&S issue to wet and slippery.Rooms: 3/5
We always stay in this travelodge if we can't stay at my mums sheltered accommodation and whenever we've stayed ,it's been great. The staff are really lovely and helpful .On previous occasions, we've eaten in the restaurant and food is always good .Yes ,it's basic ,but it's ALWAYS spotless .Just stayed there 23rd October room 13 Very quiet .Had a great night's sleep. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is the price difference from staying on a Sunday to a week day .About a £60 extra difference, which is a quite high .Otherwise ,it's great
We stayed for 4 nights midweek because our house was getting refurbished, and I hated every minute of it. The bed was comfortable enough, the room was really clean, the shower was actually quite nice, and the WiFi stable, but that's where the positives end. There was nowhere for me or my family to put our clothes other than the 5 hangars in the room. No drawers at all. There was nowhere for any of us to hang our towels, the hooks on the back of the bathroom door were missing and there were no coat hooks by the front door. When I raised it with reception, they just said for us to change the towels every day. Way to stay green Travelodge. The air conditioning was broken in the room and the room was stifling hot. When I raised it with reception, I was told that an engineer had been called, they were just awaiting on availability. I did not believe this for a single minute and as it wasn't repaired in the 5 days we were there, I guess it wasn't true. Because the room was so hot, we had to have the window open permanently, which meant the noise from the busy A303 as well as loads of people racing on motorbikes. It also seems like a mid-way hotel for construction workers, film set hands, and lots of people who love to drink and smoke, because even though we're on the 3rd floor, every night and early morning, you get the screaming and shouting of people smoking outside or heading off in construction gear. £280 for 4 nights, and I regret every minute of it.
Clean room, modernised with TV on wall, don't pay for the WiFi if you're on the third floor it won't reach your room waste of money and the phone signal isn't great if you need the WiFi asked to be on the first floor above reception it's full signal. Also in my room 316, the shower gel dispenser in the bathroom didn't work as spring had seized, luckily I did pack my own. Check in was abit bad as they had a call this number as reception is closed, I could hear the phone ringing and no1 was around to answer I waited in reception for 10 minutes before anyone noticed.
Located by the a303 giving easy access to get around the area. The staff were really friendly and super helpful. Plenty of parking for people staying and a few eat out options close by as well.Rooms: 5/5
