Dog friendly....and not so dog friendly. Really happy that Travelodge allows us to bring the dog, but when I checked with reception, was told no dogs in the dining area even though it's away from food preparation area and has a hard floor.nWas told that there's a pub nearby. Left feeling a little like 2nd class citizens. But... The pub is close by and does good food. So... 50 quid spent which could happily been in your till. Think on.
Stayed for 2 nights recently. First night was a terrible sleep. Loudest air con known to man so couldn't keep it on in the night which meant we got too overheated. Had to eventually go down to get a fan in the middle of the night. The bathroom and particularly shower was so small and our shower curtain was dirty and mouldy, especially around the bottom. And don't get me started on the toilet roll. Bring your own. Very cheap and rough. Carpets had stains too. And the biggest issue, really really bad signal and the audacity of trying to charge people for WiFi when you know that, is extortion. Especially considering it's not exactly cheap! Premier Inn is faaaar better. At least it was quiet and the hotel staff were nice. My first and last time staying in a Travelodge.
This Travelodge is better than a lot I have stayed in. The bathroom was very clean and so was the bedroom.after a good night out we were surprised the bar was still open and had a a drink with some other friendly people. Breakfast was good, it was a full buffet. I would certainly stay again if I was in the area. Thank you to all the friendly staff
Bed was uncomfortable, room was really warm. The air con made lots of noise so couldn't keep on. Also kettle was full of scale and no hairdryer in the room. Shower was good but the curtain was ineffective and left a big puddle on the floor
Comfortable beds...clean and tidy room.nAircon a little noisy.nBreakfast buffet lovely full English,nContinental breakfast all available serve yourself..nStaff accomadating and friendly.nShout out to Greg.
