We did not stay at the hotel, it was a birthday treat, that husband had booked.nWe had Sunday lunch and it was delicious, the beef was cooked perfectly and all the accompanying veg was very tasty indeed.nOur server was Charlotte, who friendly and polite, nothing was touch trouble, in fact all the staff were great, I credit to the hotel and company.nWe will definitely be coming back.nKimmi and Dale
Stayed here for a few days of walking in the snow, and had a fab stay. Hotel is beautiful and rooms are really well set out and with plenty of amenities, but in particular the staff were above and beyond exceptional. Always welcoming and cheerful, they could not have done more to make me feel welcome. Top marks for a fab stay.nnRestaurant does a nice range of tasty meals, and bar is well set out and relaxing for a place to pass a few hours
Fantastic building and locationnVery attentive servicenFood well presented, staff very knowledgeablenStayed in the annexe with its own car park. So had to come across road for meals.nRoom big overlooking the square..no safe or fridge.nKettle plenty of tea coffee and hot chocolate. And bottles of water in the room. Shower is over a bath, bathmat provided. A duck to float in the bath too!
We were 4 for lunch with one of the party being in a wheelchair. Unfortunately the ramp wasn’t wide enough for the chair but the staff assisted and we were able to access the amazing dining room. The main meals were excellent, served in a timely manner and each of us had very tasty puddings. When we came to leave again assistance was given. A thoroughly enjoyable lunchtime experience. Hopefully a return visit will be made.
Absolutely brilliant meal here at the Rutland Arms. Could not fault the service and the quality of food is impeccable If you’re looking for the best restaurant in bakewell, this is it. Fabulous interior, friendly service, wonderful atmosphere - can’t go wrong. Thank you for a lovely evening - Made our weekend!
