Comfy bed! But noisy the cafe/restaurant is noisy until the early hours of the morning and 2 out of the 3 rooms windows look onto the balcony on people drinking including in the bathroom no privacy! But price good and comfy beds with lovely staff!

There's great stuff going on here - the Sackville suite looks luxurious with its grand four poster bed, marble fireplace and roll-top freestanding bath; the friendly and helpful staff; the outstanding breakfasts. The only minus for me was the plastic content in the room - the carved wooden headboard is actually plastic; the large wooden framed mirror, plastic; the wooden toilet seat, plastic; the roll-top bath itself, also plastic. And, the most unforgivable of all, plastic dried roses - I mean, really?

This is our 2nd stay at the Gothic House, it has a lot to offer the clients friendly staff who go above and beyond to make you feel warm and very welcome like one of their own family, fabulous features lovely rooms and really good breakfast menu whether you want a full English, light or somewhere in between, all prepared cooked to your preferences.  Our reason for going was a hospital ppointment over two days so it was an early start second morning and woke up to a lovely  breakfast outside our door, plenty of tea and coffee on tap, we would highly recommend to anyone...only thing was the tv didn't work not this is not a critism just a comment...don't let it stop you paying a visit
