Keith came after us apologised profusely and said he would help as soon as he can. I said no complaint about you, but not one other member of staff can be bothered. I could see staff wondering about too! nIf my son did not require a horse riding helmet I would not have bothered.nDisappointing customer service, so I won't be In a rush to returnnThe store is huge with lots of stock.
Offer of buy-one-get-one half price advertised online when I added items to basket. Visited the store later same day and the same offer was advertised there, though they didn't have enough stock of the items I wanted so I returned home and went back to the online basket and the offer has now been removed. Called customer services and they refuse to honour the offer. Phoned the store and they said they'd honour the offer if I bought there but then they don't have all I want in stock!!nNot good customer service - will take my custom elsewhere!
There's a large stock across various departments, some more so than others. I primarily went to look for approach and climbing shoes, sadly they don't stock any women's approach shoes only mens which was disappointing, I presume it's to lack of demand but it was still sad to see. Also came up short on the climbing shoes as well because of sizing, but the rest of the store looked well stocked with a great variety. Staff were friendly and the store has more than ample parking
I had good experience a year ago here, but this time I wanted to buy a rope and climbing shoes, and they didnt have absolutely any ropes 60meters length, and also only 1 or 2 shoes out of ~20 they had there were in my size 40-41.5, so it seems to me that the store just doesnt restoke the most popular sizes of things and that's disapointing.nn2 times i left with nothing, and probably wont come again
Another fantastic experience at Go Outdoors in Swindon today - assisted by Jo, Tom and especially Amelia.nnWe purchased an Outwell awning online from Blacks, only to find that both poles were missing. As an older product, it was understandable that there wasn't a replacement to be had anywhere, so we had no choice but to return and Blacks purchases can be returned to Go Outdoors.nnLooking forward to the additional space that our existing tent and awning was going to offer, and now disappointed that we'd be a little more limited, we decided that we may as well just purchase a new tent entirely!nnJo was great at trying to come up with solutions that allowed us to keep our existing tent, Tom went on the hunt in the stockroom for an alternative and Amelia remained with us on and off for our 90+ minutes of shopping time.nnOnly last year we commended the same store for their exceptional service - being so very helpful when buying two very basic and inexpensive camp beds. Just as staff then couldn't do enough to help, the same was the case today.nnAs a larger store, Swindon has a huge variety of items available with competitive pricing, and evidently it's somewhere with exceptional service and product knowledge too.nnWhat a contrast to Blacks' own customer service helpline, which proved not to be terribly helpful.
