We had an amazing time here!!! Spent 6 hours altogether and it was just enough to visit all 3 floors. The whole place it tidy with plenty of people to help you if you have any questions. One of the most fun places I have ever visited in my 32 years. And of course the 6 and 8 year old enjoyed it too. We also went to a planetarium show, that was brilliant as well, Gazing at the Stars I think that was the name of the show. We grabbed lunch around 1pm and it was a great selection to choose from. This place is a must!
The Glasgow Science Centre is an absolutely fantastic place to visit! It’s not just a museum but an exciting and interactive hub for science, technology, and learning. Whether you’re a curious child, a science enthusiast, or just someone looking for a fun day out, this place has something for everyone! From interactive exhibits to live science shows, you’re guaranteed to learn something new and have a great time while doing it. The design of the centre itself is impressive – the futuristic architecture makes you feel like you’re stepping into another world. The planetarium, in particular, is an experience not to be missed, offering breathtaking views of the night sky and distant galaxies . It’s perfect for families, school groups, or even a solo adventure if you’re in the mood to explore. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions or demonstrate how things work. They make the experience even more engaging and enjoyable. What I love most is how the centre inspires curiosity and a passion for learning. Whether it’s physics, biology, or space, you leave feeling like you’ve explored the wonders of the universe. Highly recommended if you’re in Glasgow!
An absolute blast for every member of the family. Everything is interactive and educational. We saw an IMAX documentary and a planetarium show which may be a bit much for one day, I would recommend picking one out of the two The science shows are definitely a must though. We got food in the cafe which was reasonably priced and plenty of options. There are some indoor picnic spaces which are an option more places should have. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We spent over 4 hours all in so it can be a full day out of you choose to make it that
We thought it would only be an hour or two at the centre for us but 5 hours later we finally managed it all! Was a lot of really genuinely interesting tactile and hands-on fun for two 20 year olds and two 60 year olds, and the amount of children running around was a clear sign too. Highly recommended if you want a fun way to teach them!
It was amazing. All the science experiments were awesome. Kids enjoyed a lot and there are so many scientific experiments, you need entire day to explore all. Science show was also great and hosts Helen and David were great.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Great place to visit and especially with children. We went up the tallest revolving tower in the world . This tower is part of the science museum. It is the tallest because all the tower can turn not just the top. Lots of interesting things to do in the science museum.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
It’s a treat for science lovers and kids. So many experiments running live to experience the magical effects of science. My 4 year old was not ready to leave. It’s so big and so much to do a day won’t be enough.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Exposition similar to other science centres in Europe with main target of school age kids, and this is what we were after. Exhibition across 3 floors combining learning with fun and any child between 3 and 13 will find something especially interesting for them. Helpful staff and only one exhibit not working due to maintenance. This is what I remember from other places like this, which get very busy and sometimes it happens 10% of the exhibition is not working, luckily not the case here.
Exciting hands-on experiments. We attended a science show about air. This was very entertaining. 3 hours are not enough to see all exhibits properly. The architecture of the building looks cool. If you don't mind a 20 minutes walk you can park at the Transport museum which is easy to reach and parking is a bit cheaper. You can also watch the muriels. There is a small café at the Science Centre and the 3Dmax cinema. You can pay by card at the entrance to the Centre. The entrance fee is very justified. We did not need to wait but there were times when it was very busy too.
We were here today for first time and my kids loved it, aged 8,14,15 and there was also four adults, we were in the planetarium and everyone of us enjoyed it, there was plenty for everyone to interact with and the boys went up the tower and were excited they could see so much, staff were friendly and always ready to help which was a bonus. Overall worth a visit.
