Tall Ship At Glasgow Harbour
"A visit to Glenlee takes you back in time to experience what life was like on the high seas. Visit the galley, ring the bell, and explore the depths of the ship. Where did she sail? What cargo was transported around the globe? What was it like to command a ship in mid-ocean? Experience a fun and exciting day out, and discover what life was really like aboard a tall ship. Restored to her former glory, Glenlee is one of only five Clydebuilt steel sailing ship still afloat, and the only example in the UK. The Tall Ship Glenlee is an independent museum, dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Glenlee and the maritime history of the area for the benefit of the local community and visitors to Glasgow."

I really loved this place! The ship itself was interesting but the best was the transport museum. A wonderful place to bring the kids. A few great seating places to relax. The staff were super helpful. The cute little restaurant on the first floor was pleasantly very good. Great homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes. The service was fabulous. I really enjoyed this place and I would definitely recommend it. The place was free. But, a donation is appreciated. Which I had no problem giving.
A great place to visit for tourists and visitors of the city. Though with it being FREE to enter until recently the now cost of going on board is an unfortunate, disappointing change. Along with its limited opening times and last admission at 4:30pm.
Absolutely loved exploring deeper into the unseen crevices and creaks. Although the floorboards in their probably weakened condition make me feel pretty anxious. The smells take me back to my childhood, but that's just the smell of Elizabethan/Medieval era dust. Got to see everything of Glenlee in her glory. I wish I could've explored more.
Took the grandkids for a tour and they enjoyed every minute. The did the Find the 20 Rats competition. It was busy but manageable with all the different languages of the tourists.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
We came for a late night candle light concert. Good ol’ ship docked right beside the museum. Worth visiting in the afternoon when the breeze isn’t trying to fight with you. Hope they get to maintain the ship for long!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes

We visited from South Africa with our children, 6 & 9. This was a fascinating experience. It was interesting to see the living space and the opulence of the captains quarters in comparison. We were surprised at the size of the hold. Well worth the visit. It is free but we definitely encourage you to give a donation at one of the available donation points.

I have been taking my own children and now my grandchildren to the Glenlee for years and every trip is a joy. I was there again yesterday with my youngest grandaughter - she absolutely loves finding the golden rat. So many activities for young hands and lots to fuel imaginative play. We watched a Caulking display which I had never seen before and it was very interesting. The staff as always are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The small fee they have started charging will not stop me going, it is a bargain in my book. This ship needs to be preserved for future generations.
