No advance booking required, great way to spend an hour. Very photogenic. Interesting stuff on the information boards - sobering that just raising the anchor could take up to 18 of them six hours. You can have a coffee and a snack onboard if you like.
This is an wonderful place for individuals of all ages. The ship is much larger than it may initially may appear. There is a wonderful cafe on board. The majority of the boat is handicapped accessible. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The Admission is free for this museum which makes it a very affordable day out.
A really amazing place to visit, and to think - it's free! You get to clamber all over the place in this lovingly restored tall ship, and the visit will give you a real feel for what it must have been like to have been cooped up in one of these vessels. Fascinating!
Right to next to the Riverside Museum is the Tall Ship which you have to visit, if you are close by. It really takes you back in time. The cabins inside are very clean and well-arranged.
The ship is great, but they should have it lit up at night. It used to be. Must have ran out of light bulbs or the electricity bill is too expensive. What a pity
The Tall Ship at the Glasgow Harbour is a must place to see when you visit Glasgow. The ship is anchored at the front of the museum and it is free to entry. You'll see the cabins that used to be used by the officers, the ship's engine, her galley, etc. You can also book a wedding to be held onboard this ship!
As a all related maritime enthusiast myself, I've enjoyed the ship. There is the ship history written next to the entrance. Free of charge, sadly not lot left of the original ship. On the plus side for others, what they've removed is used for children area, cafe and other activities.
