We were there for Jazz concert, really nice friendly staff, good acoustics. Toilets are clean and well maintained, refreshments a bit hit and miss but everything was available at a very reasonable price. Parking is a bit of a problem close to the venue, but there is some street parking within walking distance. This is a good venue, run by nice people. Been to the venue now a couple of times and the staff have been just as good on every visit.
One of a handful of Mackintosh buildings in central Glasgow and his only church and one of the most beautiful now open to the public with the twice burned School of Art currently shrouded. As of September 2023 the entrance fee was £5. The church has fairly limited opening hours so check the website before visiting. Once you gain admission you're free to explore on your own.
We were married here 3rd August and it was absolutely brilliant. Ewan, Sven and team were helpful and enthusiastic throughout. Always on hand should we need anything, beautifully maintained and they know their church well. Would recommend to anyone
Lovely church, lots of little motif’s all around the church and the stain glass is beautiful. Small side room with quite a bit of Macintosh items and a little shop. We visited when the Earth exhibit was there and it was superb being about to get up close to it. Only minus was that it’s so big you don’t see much of the top of the planet and the clouds can cover whole countries
Love the place and think it would make a good concert venue. Run by the Friends of CRM who can answer any of your Mackintosh questions, and they maintain it well, have a good gift shop. A very nice touch at the end is they offer you a coffee and shortbread as part of your entry price.
Wonderful staff and great venue.
Typical drab blackwood pughs but C.R.M influence well evident. Enhanced at the moment by the Gaia exhibit. A planet earth replica globe suspended from the ceiling which shows how the earth looks as seen by.N.A.S.A. astronauts.A constant surround sound soundtrack connects the sculpture with the space and architecture around it, filling the room with atmosphere and ambiance. My friend Gordon Calder from Aberdeenshire expressed a desire to see this church whist here on holiday.Neither of us were aware of gaia exhibit until we went there. Unsurprisingly Gaia is a greek goddess, Mother of "Earth". The church is at Queens Cross Maryhill and is well worth a visit.
Pure Macintosh, he was allowed a free hand and the church is intact and original. If his work interests you this church is a recommended visit. Very good source of Mackintosh information.
Fab night. Brilliant musicians and Jazz vocalist Marianne, wow what a voice. Hits every scale perfectly. Beautiful voice.
Went to see Tenille Townes and her support act Jody Halliwell. Absolutely fantastic concert at a brilliant, beautiful venue. Sound wad amazing. Loved every second and the church volunteers were amazing.
