Lovely campsite along with a very different experience of being right next to Gatwick main runway. Some love it and some hate it. Rather a marmite experience and hence the 4 stars. It is a noisy place but the aircraft do stop during the night. Facilities are of a good standard and location is good for visiting Sussex and easily travelling to London or Brighton.

Immaculately kept shower block, polished and glazed to perfection. Grass kept strictly to C&MC regulation length, and pitch gravel raked in a north-westerly direction as per the guidance manual. Where can you go to get better than this?

We came by at 6pm and they were closed. This is an extremely early time to close. Additionally there was no option to self check in. We had to book a hotel due to missing the 6pm check-in by 10 minutes.

Its only 1 star rating for 2 reasons, the extreme plane noise, and Sue at reception is extremely rude (as has been mentioned in other reviews). Other staff there were excellent, and the showers, etc were good. Plane take offs start at 5.15 a.m. and occur every 90 seconds or so until 11.00 p.m. It made the windows rattle in our campervan and you cannot have a conversation. There's no getting used to it. Over time the plane exhausts leave a type of oily soot on caravans stored there.

By far the worst campsite we've ever stayed at. Unless you are an avid plane spotter, or profoundly deaf, stay away from this site. Aircraft movements every 60 seconds from 5am till nearly midnight doesn't make for an enjoyable time. Caravan club should put a clear warning on their website.
