Was moving my large labradoodle from UK to US.  With the limited flight availability to Miami and the concern with heat embargoes, this was a daunting and anxious task.  I spoke with some of the biggest companies and ultimately settled on PBS, not because of price although they are quite compete and fair, but it was the personal attention and sensitivity of their staff that made them great.  Huge thanks from us to Sophie and Jason for being available to address our concerns, no matter how petty, relieve our anxiety with your sincere empathy, and most importantly for getting our best friend here safely.

I’m not one to leave bad google reviews on other people’s businesses, but in this case I was truly disappointed with how the communication team at PBS handles things. I emailed them back in October letting them know I was waiting on a puppy to be born around December, and would eventually need to be brought home around March according to the uk pet travel guidelines, they gave me a quote and I said I’m okay with the quote and would like to move forward with the booking process however any questions about the size of my puppy would have to go to my breeder since the puppy would be with him. They asked how long the pup would be with the breeder and I re stated the pup wasn’t born yet, gave them the estimated time of arrival and when the pup would be able to travel. Since then I haven’t heard a word back from Pbs pet travel even though I asked to move forward with the booking process , I emailed them back 2 times, even after pups were on the ground and heard nothing. It would’ve been nice to hear back even if they weren’t able to assist me anymore, but it was radio silence. Not even so much of a minor explanation as to why now that they know the puppy has yet to be born, they couldn’t help. In the future I hope PBS pet travel is more communicative with their prospective clients to avoid confusion , a simple reply would suffice but they give you nothing.

PBS has moved my bearded dragon from the UK to Canada and I recommend them wholeheartedly. I was so very worried about him travelling and it's so rare to find travel advice for pets that are not dogs or cats. At one point, I wasn't even sure if we could take him.  Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. He arrived not only safe and sound, but full of energy as well. He loves his new hammock and the new food he got to try.Tired from the journey? Not my boy!  Sophie has been absolutely amazing from the start, explaining the process to me and reassuring me every step of the way.  I honestly could not have imagined this would go so well and it's exceeded all my expectations!

I had to relocate from the UK to the US and contacted PBS Pet Travel for a quote regarding my pet turtle. They provided one on the telephone but never mailed me the proper documentation. Luckily, at the same time I contacted a few others listed on the IPATA website and created options, though my preference was to use PBS Pet Travel's services. 2 months before the moving date I called in to book their services and was able to speak with the pet export agent who said she would provide me with a detailed quote and arrange details. She never got back to me and I tried calling a number of times over a couple of weeks only to be told she was off sick and no one else would be able to help me. I eventually gave up and used another company which I've found to be much more professional and reliable.

We used PBS to move our dog from the UK to Australia, I would highly recommend their service. Emeyle especially was always very supportive quick to respond to emails. Emeyle went above and beyond organising flights in the middle of a pandemic, it must have been an almost impossible task! We are so grateful to have our dog safe and happy back home with us in Australia.

I can highly recommend PBS Pet Travel Service. I have now been working with them for over 6 years. I have found them to be a professional and responsible service, that always puts the needs of the animals first. Reliable and professional international pet transport service. Sophie went above and beyond to make sure that my cats could fly to Tenerife during the pandemic, and addressed all my questions and concerns during the process. Nigel, the driver who took them to the airport, was nice and clear about the check-in process. Thanks for making the move of our cats possible!

I've deliberated over this because there was a hiccup and a couple of minor irritations along the way. I'll try and detail those so people can make their own minds up.  First of all and absolutely the most important. Our dog got home in good condition and still wagging his tail. Secondly, all emails were answered promptly. With all of that in mind, I'd use PBS again so it's hard to give them much less than five stars in that respect.  But....  What impressed me initially was that they took my overseas agents' paperwork and checked locally and came back with feedback. As a result, we were able to locate a problem that would have caused delays later.  I get the impression PBS is a well "legalled" company. So, for example, a straight question often seems to meet with a pasted link. They don't tell you what step to take next, they send you the feedback they received. Obviously, they understand it but you have to work it out for yourself. I imagine this is so they avoid being accused of ever being wrong. They'll facilitate your decision making but they won't really advise you. Answers occasionally feel a bit cryptic  So once our dog arrived in the UK, having been assured that paperwork was checked and in order, we were told that a problem had been raised and we needed more paperwork and a further £86 pounds had to be paid immediately. It was hard not to feel like our pet was being held to ransom.  As ever PBS wanted money paid upfront before they do anything. I guess they know this can be a messy business and they don't want to hand over the dog then have to chase cash.  Anyway, the dog arrived only a couple of hours late and all are happy. Once the dust had settled I raised the extra charge with PBS who reminded me they "can't be held responsible for any errors". That legal thing again.  So, on balance, it's a smart business that probably works in a very difficult world with very unsympathetic customs people. They get the job done and they watch their own backs while they're doing it. Ultimately you'll probably have to watch your own too.  Oddly this efficiency kinda makes me trust them even more. They're professionals.

Moving overseas is stressful, and worrying about your pets makes it even harder. But these guys were FANTASTIC. All I had to do was tell them my pet's info and the day we were flying and they took care of the rest booking the flight, picking us up, researching rules and regulations, etc. And even on the day of the flight when I messed up and forgot parts of the kennel, they ran back to their shop to fix up the kennel and get my dog on the plane. Thorough instructions start to finish, consistent follow up, and even made sure we were good to go on the other side of the pond. This is how you run a business!  Highly recommend these guys.
