I had a great experience staying here after getting into Gatwick. The room was much better than I expected. Plenty of space for a lone traveler and clean. The location was convenient for shuttle service and local bus system to take you to the train stations. I did not access the restaurant but the location is close to some quick grab and go food shops like Tesco Express and MS Foods.nnI also tried out the gym which was impressive with the equipment available. My only critique is that there was no spray to clean equipment after use although the signs say for users to do this and I had to go ask the front desk. They said it should be there but wasn't, but gave me some temporary wipes to use. I am not sure how often the gym is cleaned, so it would be my advice to do it more often. Besides that I had a wonderful stay and will be returning before my flight home. Very impressed :
Stayed here for the week with work, food was pleasant in the evenings, the burgers were great and the 24/7 pizzas came in clutch some nights.nnSpecial shout out to Annete I think that's how it's spelled - service was impeccable, got along really well, sorted out everything I needed and overall just a nice ladynnCan't really complain too much at the rooms, they're great for what they are, the only issue I had was the fact that the windows were unable to be opened, with an AC that only goes to 19 degrees, if you're warm blooded like myself, it can get a bit stuffy during the night.nnThe road it's on can get very busy and loud but it's not noticeable once you're in the room.nnThe outdoor sitting/dining area is fantastic and I made some good memories sitting there.nnOverall, a very pleasant stay and I look forwards to my next stay in a few months.
Great welcoming team, nice clean rooms and perfect for overnight if picking up or dropping off for an early flight next day. No room service but can order from downstairs and bring up to room.nnAlternatively order on deliveroo, etc.nHas 4 PodPoint chargers and 2 more for disabled bays so 6 total.nnBeware of non-electric vehicles also blocking these spaces, especially bus size pickup trucks with German plates...couldn't get into own car...maybe thats how they park over there but definitely not the hotel's fault.
Comfortable & clean plus convenient for flights in & out of Gatwick North & South terminals.nnPaid for one night's accommodation with parking at nearby APH, which didn't include the one night parking at ibis Styles, which was a little disappointing at £15 for the night. Note to self, check the small print.nnThe room was modern, clean and had everything that we needed for our short stay. We didnt eat at the hotel but had a couple of glasses of pre-holiday wine.nnThe parking is covered and for EV users there are several EV charging bays.nnMy only criticism is that once the toilet was flushed the handle jammed so it kept filling and running water into the pan. Plus a room close to ours, I couldn't work out which, was noisy when the tap was turned on, sounded like a bit of a squeal from the water pipes, that stopped once the tap was turned off.nnBut generally a convenient and inexpensive stay. We were also given the wrong room 'key'. Fortunately it didn't work so the occupants weren't surprised and all it needed was a quick trip back to reception for a change.
This is a perfectly good airport hotel with small but modern rooms. Note that there is no shelving to place anything on, but I think that's because they assume you live out of your suitcase for the night that you're here. The entire hotel is very modern and new, but also very to-the-point. The breakfast was good, but basic hotel fare. I'm happy it was included in my rate, I don't think the £15 fee would have been worth it. It is an easy walking distance to Tesco and Aldi which is a massive plus. The onsite laundry costs £5 a wash and £3 for drying. The onsite gym is simple but with very new machines. Note that the shuttle service is shared between several hotels and costs £5 per trip, payable to the operator by tap-to-pay only, and leaves every 40 minutes or so. This was a bit of a surprise as I am not used to paying for airport shuttle services. It takes about 25-30 minutes to get from the hotel to North Terminal by shuttle. For those lost like me, it departs from stop number 9 from the South Terminal. I was here because of a long overnight layover. Given how long it took to get to and from the hotel, I will likely stay somewhere physically connected to Gatwick in the future. The strong counter to this would be if I needed anything from another store during my layover, in which case the easy walk to Aldi might make the inconvenience worth it.
