Good place for a stop and refresh.Good snacks and excellent coffee..The exhibition of the history of the canal and the cottage is very interesting but doesn't quite work when you have to pay for it. Better to add a penny to every drink and make it free. ..that would work better and more people would enjoy the heritage of the canal.

Lovely cafe offering cakes etc to die for in fab surroundings. Outside seating area and mezzanine too. It makes walks around there even more enjoyable. Dogs allowed inside also. Canal heritage wares to buy in the shop area attached. Don't miss out!

We took a group of young adults there while on a narrow boat day trip today. The staff were very helpful and let us use the upstairs room to eat lunch. The outdoor balcony has a great views over the weir. The cafe staff (Adam ) very helpful with finding out about gluten free. The toilets are clean light and big enough for a wheelchair. We were made more then welcome. a lovely visit all in all.
