Thursday night's are great the live music is really entertaining. Good pint of Guinness here too and a friendly crowd. It can get pretty busy so bit more lively later on if you're after just a quiet sit down and talk with a few pints. Had a chat with the acts too lovely people. Pleasant staff too. Look forward to going back.
I had my last half of Guinness in there last week before heading home, I don't usually drink Guinness as I prefer real ale but that half reminded me why I like it, as it had that smoky flavour to it instead of just tasting ordinary, for me it's that smoky taste that makes it fantastic! Good barman on too, very friendly :
one of the most god awful venues. You could smell the polyester. The entertainment was hideous. The pyrotechnics hilarious whomever came up with this requires serious help
Live music and fair prices
Great place brilliant staff great Guinness had brill night will call again 5*.
Great bar in the center of Liverpool with lively and friendly crowd. Staff is very professional and fast, but my greatest + to this place was a singer who sang everything from Rocky road to Dublin to Time to say goodbye in Italian, with such a profound voice, while making a great jokes in between the songs.
Brilliant pub . entertainment every night. Ale is cheaper if you have a loyalty card . Which is worth purchasing from behind the bar isn't only a pound l think. But it makes the ale and spirits a lot cheaper. Enjoy
Had a brilliant sunday afternoon here so decided to return on the monday night. Place was very empty but the singer was very good. At 10.20 however the manager turned on the full lights, turned off the TV and music and close the shutters and lights to the toilets. We still were drinking. After mentioning this to the manager she said she had to do this when things were quiet. 10.20 was we told her very early to be elbowed out. As we finished our drinks we were made to be as welcome as the flu. This was not what Irish hospitality was meant to be. They were quite happy to be taking our money the day before but in a quiet night they seemed more interested in getting home early and getting rid of customers.
Love this place! Really decent prices for town. Nice selection of beers and rwaaly good bar staff.Nice bouncers working the door. Early finish for some bars in Liverpool, but that's a good thing for me.
Great gathering place for the local older generation. I was passing by on a monday afternoon, when i heard music and became curious. I stepped in and was rewarded with great entertainment, in old Blackpool style. All gentlements and ladies were well dressed up and i experienced the best caraoke in Liverpool, appart from the Grapes. There was a lovely lively atmosphare..with lots of dancing and singing.
