We had an absolutely terrific stay at the cosy little Self catering lodge. Perfect for a little romantic getaway. Tony was more than welcoming and warm-hearted.
What a fantastic little site. We received a very warm welcome from Tony who was waiting at the gate with some goodies, how nice is that? He was in contact on the day to make sure, you get to the site on a narrow single track. A fairly steep climb to the pitches, but thanks to Tony no problem. The pitches all have sea views, fresh water, electricity and are all with drainage for grey water, a chemical toilet disposal is on site, but no shower or toilet facilities, so you use your own onboard instead. Tony explained the site features in detail. The views on site and to the sea are breath-takingly beautiful. Not only because of being an adult only site, there is virtually NO noise apart from the sounds of the nature around you. It is absolutely peaceful there. 2 corresponding otter lochs are in walking distance, eagles can be watched, too. Be sure to have some food with you, there is no restaurant close by, but you wouldn't want to leave anyway.
We have been to flodabay for the past 7 or 8 years what a fantastic hoist Tony is we went the beginning of May and what can I say the new lodge is superd fantastic view from the new hot tub we loved it everything you want great hoist superb lodge fantastic views see you again Tony and thanks for making our holidayRooms: 5/5
First came here 4 years ago and it is every bit as good as we remembered. Very peaceful with beautiful views. Warm welcome from Tony who was waiting at the gate for us with some goodies and a bag of golf balls in case we wanted to have a go at target golf! Lots of seals in the bay, otters eluded us but they were around - maybe next time!
Fabulous secluded site with amazing views .... stayed here for 3 nights in August in our camper. Tony met us at the gate and provided a fabulous hamper on arrival with delicious home made cheesy bread, freshly prepared crab, sausages and black pudding. The site has hardstanding with several well placed picnic tables to each secluded pitch. On site water, electric hook up and chemical toilet disposal. Lots to do if you want to stay pitched on site...fishing on Tonys private lochs fishing rods and spinners provided by Tony.... caught trout for our tea and a small golf driving range , again equipment provided by Tony. Even though the roads are narrow we cycled round the South of the island. Drivers extremely considerate with the passing places. Couldn't of wished for a better spot or host. Thanks Tony..we will be back!
What a fabulas place !! Fantastic veiws and Tony is a absoloute diamond. Always there to help if you need any so friendly and nothing is to much trouble. When we moved to another site as we were traveling round he even came there to help us with our motorhome problom. Great people great veiws and a fantastic place to base yourself for traveling through the outer Hebrides.

Had the breakdown on Sunday evening and got the ferry on Monday afternoon. Crazy that it worked like that. It doesn't get any better than that :! Original Sehr schöne Unterkunft, ruhig gelegen, super ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht und mit toller Aussicht vom Chalet auf die umliegende Landschaft und aufs Wasser. Tony und Sharon von der Flodabayfarm sind super nette Gastgeber, die sich perfekt um ihre Gäste kümmern. Wir hatten zwischenzeitlich eine Autopanne, und wie uns von Tony geholfen wurde war unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Sonntagabend die Panne gehabt und Montagmittag noch die Fähre bekommen. Wahnsinn, dass das so funktioniert hat. Besser geht es nicht:!
