What makes a difference between a good campsite and a bad one? Adequate hooks in the showers and a seat to put your shoes and socks on is my benchmark.
Shell Bay has lots of hooks and seats. Comfortable stay here while cycling from Barra to Stornoway. Nice clean and simple site. I had major pannier rack trauma requiring drilling new holes in the rack and reconfiguration. The owner could not have been more helpful, and gave me use of his drill and good advise. Can't thank him enough, it saved the trip from disaster.

Stopped on night while cycling the Hebridean Way. Nice flat tent pitch. Lovely to sit out on the grass in the evening sun. Good facilities and hot showers. Nothing to complain about.

A wonderful couple run this site, cannot do enough for their visitors.  The facilities are spotlessly clean as is the entire campsite. Would definitely revisit.
