Well appointed camp site and bunk house. Friendly service. Worth a visit. Town centre is a bit far for walking, but no problem for cyclists.

After spending some time staying on Harris in lovely remote locations with stunning views this place as a shock to our system. We drove through residential areas thinking the satnav was wrong. We booked in advance and paid in full. When we arrived I was shown to  my spot for the night, after waiting for about 20 minutes at reception. I took one look at the pitch, and went to collect my wife who was waiting in our camper van. When we drove onto our pitch my wife asked where our pitch was! Our pitch was basically a carpark. I was told I could park anyway I wanted. The choice was hard, the gas bottle storage for the bothys or the wheeled bin station. I immediately got my satnav loaded up with coordinates for another site and left straight away. The site may be nice enough and admit I never saw any of the facilities but this was not for us. It was a typical holiday park.
