Can hardly ever get a same day appointment. Apparently if you are happy to queue outside the surgery from 7.30am you might get an appointment when it opens at 8.00am. I phoned at 8am this morning, number 1 in the phone queue, NO APPOINTMENTS for today as there were only 4 and they went to the patients who physically went and queued outside. Excuses are not enough doctors and too many patients.
I have recently moved and have had to change practice and locally registered with Flansham Park Health Centre. So far I have found the service excellent . Called for a standard blood test I got a flu jab when I enquired at the same time on 30/09/2022 Thank you Ashleigh. Subsequent knee injury has resulted in very good care from a Dr Pippa Lally. thank you

During this difficult time I have received excellent service from this health centre. I called exactly at 8:00 been 13th in the queue, I told the receptionist about my problem. She advice me that a practitioner will contact me soon. Less then an hour later I had a call from GP, Mr Mark Spencer after a short conversation invited me for a visit. I came the doctor checked me prescribed medicine... I have asked about one more thing and the doctor took it seriously I have been checked for a potential blood cloth dvt thank God test came out negative and my ear main reason of the visit is fine now thank to Mr M. SPENCER diagnosis. Thank You so much.
I'm so disappointed with the level of 'care' myself and my daughter have received. Problems started back in November when I tried to register my daughter as a patient. I was living at a friend's house and therefore had no proof of address. The receptionist point blank told me I could not use a temporary registration form for my daughter who was very poorly at the time and ended up sending a night in a and e. Last week I visited as my daughter had an ear infection. The female doctor that saw us was visibly scared of coming anywhere near us because of covid. I appreciate the need for caution, however this doctors attitude was over the top, and made me feel like myself and my daughter were diseased. If a doctor is that fearful of this virus they really should not be working. Finally, I got a call out of the blue from St Richard's hospital with an urgent refferal. Flansham have not provided me with results from the test that led to this and refused to give them to me over the phone as it had gone past 1pm, leaving me stressed and full of anxiety. I will be leaving this doctors at the earliest opportunity and feel so let down.
Dr. Maria Harrison was so understanding. She helped resolve my issue. Dr. Harrison never rushed me despite being busy. Again as always is professional, kind and phones on time. I would also like to mention 'Gemma' on reception who on 2 occasions has gone above and beyond to help me. She was kind & patient & understood me.' Gemma' also called me back twice to inform me that the issue has been resolved.
June 2020 - When you now call, the recorded message states only to stay on the line if it's urgent. Otherwise, you are asked to scroll through endless questions online hoping to get an appointment. On this occasion i remained on the phone, as my situation was most urgent. The automated voice said i was number one in the queue. I waited and waited, and in the end it took 13 mins for them to answer, and i was number one!!! When i did get an appointment, i was asked to attend at the exact time, and knock on the front door. You would think with such a drop in appointments, the reception staff would be more on the ball. I knocked beyond my appointment time, taking the lady 9 mins to open the door. While asked to sit in the waiting area, two women were at reception. It felt deserted, and i was the only patient in the practice. Plenty of staff though, walking about. But the two reception staff were just discussing their favourite holidays. So unprofessional. No wonder it took 13 mins to answer my call, they were probably drinking tea, and looking at holiday snaps. This practice is good, but it's the staff on the forefront that let this practice down. They are a joke, and next time my grandson has asked me to film everything, and put it on his Youtube channel.
i give up . pleurisy , depression , anxiety , acrophobia , arthritis and i got to spend ALL day trying to work out that ridiculous website , just so i can see a doctor . who i have Never even met . NO !!! reception , Wonderful and polite , don't know about doctors , been with em a year , NEVER met one !! Like i said I GIVE UP !!!!!
My mum has now had to go in to full time care but lived in Felpham for 30 years. 2017 was a year of failing health for her and I cannot praise Flansham Park enough for the support they gave to both her and me. I live in Surrey so was not immediately at hand when she needed help and without fail if I called the surgery they would get someone out to her within a couple of hours. Everyone was kind and helpful whenever I called them which was often and I can't stress enough how it helped in what was a traumatic year for my mum and me.
In the last year I have been really well looked after by the last three doctors I have seen there. Dr Wartnaby, a seconded doctor Dr Bokanada, Dr Felstead, and the latest I saw yesterday, Dr Rogers. All were attentive, listened well, and quickly sorted the issues thoroughly. Appointments were the same day, or next day after ringing, and all in all, they are doing a great job, in sometimes difficult circumstances.
