Bought an Audi A6 Avant in July. One of the terms of sale was that the driver's side remote door locking mechanism would be fixed. It is now November and not done. Turns out a temporary fix which lasted 2 days was in place when we collected the car. This is despite much chasing, always from me, and my offering to take the car myself to his chosen garage 40 minutes away, or to have a partial refund and arrange to have it done myself. Basically no after sales service at all following payment.
Purchased a car, took it for a service 3 months after purchase. The mechanic called me saying they advise not to drive the car as it was a "death trap". The break hoses were dangerously corroded/split, brakes and pads were I quote mechanic "like cds", inner tryre edges down to cord due to tracking issue, Gaters on cv split. The car was out of warranty. Although the car had been driven for 3 months the mechanic did say the break hoses would have been identifiable at least 3 months previous. The glove box was also leaking in water two weeks after purchase. It was agreed prior to purchase that because it was not clearing the screen, the front wiper would be replaced and the snapped back seat window handle would also be replaced before collection. Neither of these were done when I went to pick up the car, after months of liaising with Steve to get these posted to me as promised, I still haven't received them a year later. There are other things that flagged up with the car soon after purchase, such as whining coming from the engine/ turbo which was picked up by a different mechanic. Understandably I had the car for 3 months before taken to mechanic, so some of these issues such as brakes and tracking issue could be argued as general wear a tear. You do expect when buying from a good trader that brakes and tyres would have a decent amount of use left in them, always check inner side of tyres! a lesson learnt. The car is however running well, no issues with engine thus far. But I wouldn't buy from Finley cars again.
A bit difficult to find but once there a very positive experience. The car that we went to look at was well presented in fact the photos on Auto Trader didn't really do it justice. Overall well worth the journey
Bought a Ford Focus off of this guy back in January, nothing but trouble, clutch, gearbox,his so say duty of care warranty is meaningless, wouldn't buy a second hand Push Bike off of this guy.
Bought a car here 8 years ago and still going strong . Just picked up a car for my daughter. Not a large selection but a wide choice . Good to deal with and cars come with a new m.o.t and a good waranty.
Bought a car some time ago. After I have bought it discover the car is unsafe.via BMW check. He did not want the car back, making everything up the hill. 0 customer service. Reported to Trading standard court case is on its way,
Steve is a nice guy. And more importantly fair. I would have given him 5 stars if he'd given me a bit more for my car Seriously though, the wife and I were happy with the deal.
