The owners of the Guest House are both lovely and personable, and had excellent communication before when we requested and I formed about our vegan stance and diet and they accommodated this. The rooms were comfortable and very warm, and having shower gel and tea/coffee facilities and TV were nice extra touches. The showers provided very hot water and everywhere was clean. The breakfasts were excellent and they even accomodated us having vegan full English breakfasts and the homemade bread is as delicious as everyone else has raved about . If we stay in Portsmouth again we would definitely stay here again. Nearby activities: The natural history museum is literally at the end of the street which is adjacent to a charming swan nursery! 5 minutes max!, A beach and model village also perhaps 7 mins walk, and there are dozens of really good food places very close also. Walkability: With a 10 minute walk you can be on Southsea's main shopping area, and a 15-20 minute walk will have you in Portsmouth main high street or by Spinnaker Tower and the Port/Dock district. Food & drinks: Excellent food and drink options within 5-10 minute walk away including the excellent Messy Chef!
Absolutely brilliant bed & breakfast great price for one night, breakfast was first class, accommodating host very friendly would recommend this bed & breakfast to anyone!! Great service, and excellent food. Had a small problem finding parking nearby as it's very busy and has no reserved parking. The room was clean and ideal for our needs, with an en-suite shower and toilet. Very accommodating host.Rooms: 5/5
Fine Bed and Breakfast, very friendly owners, very good brakfast, comfortable beds. The wifi was weak and slow though, and the water pressure in the upper room was weak, but Steve did his best to improve it.Rooms: 4/5
Very lovely B&B. Awfully kind hosts. Good beachside performance. Nice eggs. Swiss quality hygiene. Low shower pressure is part of the art. 100 points! :-
Clean, good value & friendly guest house. Booked the budget single room for a weekend trip - small room with a shower cubicle in it, but functional & fine as I was out most of the time. Provided a lovely vegan breakfast upon request & I was able to leave my case with them after checkout until late afternoon before I got my train home.
Superb bed and breakfast . Clean and spacious room. Very friendly and helpful hosr. Unusual for bed and breakfast they make up your room each day. Fantastic breakfast. Great location near seafront. Number 2 bus stops 1 minute walk from Everyln every 10 mins to town and GunwharfRooms: 5/5
Claire and Steve who own the b&b are so lovely, nothing we asked for was to much trouble. Family Room was spotless and had everything we needed to get our daughter ready for her prom. Breakfast was nicest I’ve had anywhere and all lovely fresh ingredients. Can not recommend this b&b highly enough
We stayed in this lovely guest house on Saturday and were very pleased with the room and welcome. Very clean. Will definitely be staying again. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for the breakfast but it smelled delicious. Thanks for a great stayRooms: 5/5
What a great B&B! Very friendly owners, clean neat rooms, very good prices, excellent location and a lovely cooked breakfast too. I enjoyed my stay, so recommended!
