£380 for 2 nights. Expensive and over priced. Not enough space, expect more for the price. Small toilet and shower area. Badly designed shower that got water all over the floor. Irritating check in, needed passport image and pay £100 damage deposit, which was promptly returned, but very cheeky. One of the noisiest places I've stayed. Premier Inn would have been better.
Only a 4* for having no bottle/wine or tin opener ir scissors. Need USB ports or chargers available to hire or buy. 35.00 cleaning charge and your asked to wash up what you use before you leave, was a negative also. Host was really fantastic and helpful, lovely nights sleep, great location, rooms were clean and tidy. Would be a 5* if these few items were available. I needed scissors Very safe and secure entry and plenty parking available nearby. No lift. Safety: Very safe
Overpromise: in the picture 2 sofa bed, in reality, 1. The double bed is very small, and it's impossible to sleep on the sofa bed. We pay cleaning fees but we need to clean before we go. There's a deposit system that does not work: they asked me to pay the deposit twice because they couldn't find the first one. They trusted a screenshot I sent and opened the door for me after mail exchange and calls. They promised to release the deposit on the check out day, but it was release 3 days later. Apart from all that, great location
We just loved this place. We booked here as a family for Easter holidays. The place is very neat and more beautiful than on picture. Very nearer to many shops and tourist spots .Rooms: 5/5
It's okay, not the best but OK. Booking.com site says guests can get Netflix in the studios. Not true for me, could not access Netflix as the TV was old not wireless smart TV. So a bit disappointed. The kettle they provide is a camping one cup kettle. The room was clean and The shower was very nice. There is a cooking ring and a microwave and a fridge, but strangley enough no toaster. All in all its okay but not sure if I would book again. I've been travelling around the UK for just over a year. I've stayed in 3 holiday apartment's in Portsmouth Over that time so I have my own Points system that I keep to for ongoing trips. The ferryman studios are all different it was just my luck that I did not have a smart TV as advertised.
Came here on Friday, it’s now Tuesday morning 5am and we have been woken by a mouse running around the room! We still have until Friday here to stay! Have tried to contact the office but no response from any numbers! Heaters don’t work in bathroom or bedroom! We found bugs in the bathroom! We haven’t had any cleaners come in at all! There’s a horrible musky smell as you come into the entrance! We have turnt the room upside down to try and find the mouse for evidence before we are accused of lying! The room is a good size, as is the bathroom, comfortable beds, we have a bath and shower which is very handy! kitchen is really small hard to make anything as no space to put plates etc! Hoping to get a full refund and be able to go else where as we are not comfortable staying in here anymore! Some reviews I’ve seen rooms are well kept no complaints so I don’t see this as a bad or horrible place to stay! It’s more than likely a one off that couldn’t be controlled but I hope they Understand and do give us a refund so we can book else where!!
I recently stayed here for 5 weeks Seeing the outside of the hotel guesthouse gave me my first impression that this was going to be a dirty unkept place given that the nets on ground floor was a dark grey colour. I was greeted with the bad smell of the hotel dusky mould smell . Instantly the owner was rude. Very argumentative. Didn’t make me feel welcomed at all. My first impression of The room was very old outdated but was impressed with size and the added extra of fridge and microwave this was not long lived happy feeling as I then found out the cleaners was not a regular appearance within the hotel guesthouse upon further inspection I was later disappointed with the initial appearance of the toilet and bathroom facilities. Few nights into my stay I was horrified to find bugs within the bathroom and toilet facilities. not your everyday bugs flys ect this issue probably didn’t help with dirty mop buckets being left in the bathroom. When trying to report this issue I was unable to locate any members of staff/ manger To make the complaint, even though they have a 24 hour care/help line. When I finally found a member of staff weeks later I was told “ it’s fine we’ve had them before they are not harmful “ towards the end of my stay I was moved to a room with an en suite witch made me feel more comfortable as I was in control of the cleanliness however the bug issue is still ongoing.. overrule I would not rate this hotel guesthouse based on cleanliness and absent of staff. Definitely not a 3 star that’s advertised within the hotel guesthouse
Room was nice, clean. Large family room. Sinks in front room and separate bathrooms. Mostly private but may have to share. Average stay 2-3 weeks. All rooms are up stairs no lift and breakfast served on top floor so no access for wheelchair users. Limited staff but friendly.
Beautiful place, stayed here for 2 weeks nice location host responded within the hour to any questions. It's a stones throw from the sea and plenty of great restaurants.Rooms: 5/5
Nice clean hotel a little damp at night even in the summer months due to dated single glassing windows. Landlord arranges early arrival time when booking arrival times then changes his mind to later in the day when you arrive at earlier time. Landlord can be a little stroppy at times he either likes you or he doesn't he doesn't seem to have room in his personality to accommodate all people from all walks of life. Shame really.
