Absolutely brilliant day out!nPlenty of things to do and great learning opportunities too.nNot sure who had more fun, our son or us nThe only downside was the parking wasn't free, after paying £42 for a family of 3 I was disappointed to find parking was an additional almost £7 for up to 6 hours. I think there should at the very least be a discount for parking for paying customers!
Brilliant place for young people and older too! had such a lovely afternoon with my grandson, he's 2 years but there was loads to do. We visited the cafe and had lunch, very good food for the price and lovely staff. A very good day out.
Before your visit, also read these comments with 1 or 2 stars.nThe kids were bored after half an hour, a lot of useless things.nOverpriced cafe, do not order fish and chips unless you like frozen fish.nWe definitely not visit this place again received an offer for a free visit in the next 12 months
I hadn’t been here in 30 years and was apprehensive that like a lot museums that were hot in the 90s, this one may have lost its shine for kids of this generation. I was wrong, very wrong. It was an enjoyable day, the facilities were clean and maintained, the staff were polite and kids were enjoying themselves, interacting with the displays and generally having fun. The fact that the tickets I’ve bought act as annual passes is even better. Thank you for bringing back my childhood and still captivating little one’s imaginations 3 decades in!
Great place for kids to explore science and technology in a hands-on environment. Easy to get to, but the car park could do with repainting as the spaces are not super easy to see, and they're all at weird angles. There's absolutely loads to do, but at busy times, it is very chaotic. Most of the activities are aimed at kids who can read or understand what they're being told, I.e., it requires some level of communication either from the displays or an accompanying adult. But the colours and sounds are probably enough for younger kids.
