So lucky to have this on our doorstep. Our sons been going since he was 11 months old. We thought he may be too young for it at the time but it really is suited for all ages. He is now 2 and still loves it! The cafe is very busy during peak times but has a good selection of food. Staff are always pleasant in the cafe. We love Eureka and couldn't recommend it enough! 👍

Wonderful place to visit and learn about different things that children like to learn. Fun activities to be doing and entertainment for a really fun day out. So much to learn in one day, that it would be good to revisit on a regular basis. Free exploration by the children can make learning much more fun, but at the same time there can be distractions to prevent absorbing information deeply. Therefore, I recommend visiting with friends and family and taking time on the latter. We explored everywhere but were overloaded after 3.5 hours. So, the 4h parking (payment only via cash) was sufficient. Also it is situated in the centre of Halifax, making a short walk also an option. A visit in the summer maybe also really exciting with lots of land to go running around outside.

Fun day out with lots to do and learn whilst playing. Good parking available, train station next door. No Discount for families or additional children.. we paid £57 for 2 adults 2 children aged 11 & 8 and toddler 17months old. This price enables you to return free as often as you wish for a year, this would be great if we lived local. As we don't we are less likely to return, I felt the price may prevent some families/ people on low incomes or benefits from visiting the museum meaning children miss out on an amazing experience.

Visited yesterday. Waited well over an hour in the queue to get in. Thankfully it was dry weather but my 2 & 6 year old were losing the will by the time we got to the front. We paid via Tesco CC vouchers so thankfully it cost less than £10 to get in. So much for children to see and do but I felt as it was such a crazy mental busy day (half term) more staff were needed to monitor the displays, tidy as kids trash so all children get a nice “fresh” experience. The kitchen is very dated and hasn’t changed in years, the play food is really grubby. It was so busy I didn’t feel my little ones got a lot out of it but having said that they did enjoy the experience but obviously they have nothing to compare it to. Some children (as children do) pushes and shoved, didn’t queue for things etc and that wasn’t pleasant. Also some of the costumes were very worn and again grubby. The positives, if quiet it is a great place to learn about a lot of different topics with hands on displays galore. I feel a scheduled slot for X amount of people would give visitors a much more pleasant experience in busy times. Like winter wonderland, you pay for your 4 hour slot, and within that time you do not queue for anything and can make the most of what is on offer. Would not recommend this place during school holidays/peak times. Quiet times yes.

Absolutely brilliant!! Definitely worth the money at 12.50 entrance for all except babies and very young children who go free! We took two 11 year olds and one 6, all girls. They were so absorbed for the whole time. Full of learning, role play and science. The cafe closes at 4pm The menu is quite reasonably priced and the burgers were very generous. Staff very helpful and pleasant There is a picnic area inside and gardens outside with stuff for kids too. If you want to bring your own food. Would definitely recommend it. Situated directly next to Halifax train station so easy to get to. There is a car park too. Very family friendly! Will go again. I think if you've been once you get a free pass for 12 months!
