Weston Park Museum is a fantastic place to explore the rich history and culture of Sheffield. The museum is well-organized and offers a variety of exhibits that cater to all ages. From archaeological treasures to zoological wonders, there’s something for everyone to enjoy1.nThe highlights for me were the displays on Sheffield’s industrial past and the impressive art collection, featuring works by local artists like Pete McKee and Joe Scarborough2. The interactive exhibits are particularly engaging, making it a great spot for families with children.nThe museum is housed in a beautiful historic building, and the surrounding park is perfect for a leisurely stroll before or after your visit. The café offers a nice selection of refreshments, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.nThe only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that some of the exhibits could use a bit of updating. However, this doesn’t detract from the overall experience. Weston Park Museum is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Sheffield!
Great museum with attractive, well thought out galleries. There is a brilliant exhibition of works by local artist Pete McKee, which is both funny and touching. We'll worth a visit. You need to book on line for the McKee exhibition.
Definitely a must visit place specially when it’s free. there's so much to see. There's quite a range of exhibitions to see there. I was amazed by the wonderful paintings by local artists. It's probably a good place to take children, but on other hands can be annoying when you there to relax and there's a lot of them running up and down the rooms. Anyhow worth to visit.
Interesting museum in the park with a main focus on the history of Sheffield, with rooms dedicated to other areas such as Egypt. They have changing exhibitions and interactive exhibits. There's also a nice cafe with a range of cakes, hot drinks and savoury foods.
Visited here recently with family members, never tried it before. I can say it's an excellent venue especially for youngsters. They will love it. Free admission also. Catch up on local history as well as ancient animals and historical artifacts. Would recommend for any parents with their children, young or teenagers. Lots of open space in Weston Park outside also. Ideally located close to Sheffield University and on local bus routes.
