Great for all the family. Plenty of interactive areas my kids loved it. Plenty to do. Educational and fun. Dress up clothes sounds games. Its also free. A contribution is always welcome as this funds the museum and keeps it running.

Great, relaxed and clean place with a nice atmosphere. It's never too busy. There's lots for children to do, including young children. They have free activity sessions on a Friday morning. Spike is always a favourite (photo)! Gift shop lovely and my son is building up a collection of their badges! The food in cafe is nice if not a tad expensive. The surrounding park with little lake are an added bonus. Street parking nearby is 70p per hour.

I've visited many times over my years on earth and seen it change many a time inside the building. It is still as beautiful if not more so. You don't have to pay to enter but there is an option to donate money. Helpful staff are always around to contribute to your learning and interest. There is a cafe and gift shop and outside western park and a short walk to Crookes valley park. Both beautiful and nice for a walk.

Very much geared to toddlers who really enjoy it. Safe place to put buggies while you wander around. Toilets and baby-changing are excellent. Cafe is good if a little expensive but nice facility and very child-friendly. Always worth a visit.

Great place for a day out with family. Kids love the museum. Adjacent to the museum is the well maintained beautiful Weston Park. Lots of flowers bloom in spring season here. The cafeteria inside museum serves good food and attracts lots of people visiting the museum. Combine visit to this place with Sheffield botanical gardens by spending 3 hours at each place and you'll have a great day out.
