Picked my week old Mustang up from the Basildon dealership after having a leak fixed in the boot to find a large scratch on the bootlid that goes through the clear coat. Told by the customer service advisor there was nothing he could do as the service manager was unavailable until Tuesday (this was a Friday). By late Wednesday I get an email explaining they have a report that states the scratch was already there so its nothing to do with them. This raises 3 points.
1) Check was not carried out in my presence so is void. Hire car companies do this, other dealers do this, so why not Essex Ford?
2) Upon finding damage on a week old car, it was not reported to myself at the time of discovery or even when i collected the car.
3) If you had this report why was it not shown to me at the time of the complaint but was suddenly available nearly a week later.
This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Took my van in for Tracking and to replace door mirror housing. Dropped it off at 9.30 picked it up at 5.30. Tracking not done a door mirror glass broken and taped up with insulation tape. It cost me a days work and still not done. Absolutely ridiculous. One star is too much.

Jay is a nice guy with lots of product information, would recommend going to him for a new car. Not a typical pushy sales man.
