Ednam House Hotel

Decided to stay overnight rather than just calling in for coffee. Wasn't disappointed. Room was really clean and comfortable. (Would've preferred two pillows on single bed as standard rather than retrieving the spare one from the wardrobe though.) Breakfast experience was outstanding. Food was well prepared and serving staff attentive and professional. A beautiful building overlooking beautiful river views (in between snow and rain showers!!)

Location is nice and next to the river. There is free parking. Open fires are nice in seated areas. Some rooms need to be updated. The restaurant staff need some training and the kitchen seems to struggle with half empty restaurant. We waited an hour from seat to food being served. The bar could also be updated as it feels a bit bare and basic. Attached are pictures of room we had which show old and not very clean bathroom. My mother in law's room was very nice though.

The venue today for Loving Our Volunteers was held here, and what a magnificent place! Extremely beautiful setting for any event in my opinion. Friendly staff and superb service A+++

Was expecting more from its entrance and fantastic situation on the banks of the River Tweed. Limited space on the bar for lunch, in fact it was difficult to find the bar and order food. Think that it is more set up for the wedding market. Kelso itself is a wonderful town, you must stop and explore.

Love this cosey hotel open hearth fires so homely the staff are so nice nothing is a problem slept sooo well here love to go back take a visit it wont disapoint
