Fabulous place for a break. Dog-friendly and great food. Clean, cosy, atmospheric coaching inn situated in the heart of Scottish Borders area. Handy for all the borders towns and attractions.

Great place to eat! Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is great. Even caters for gluten and dairy free diets! Definitely recommend eating here.

Good stay only spoiled by having an excellent Gammon Steak with fried egg and pineapple, but because I had BOTH I would be charged extra!!! So be aware you will be charged £1-50 for a pineapple ring out of a tin!! Not what I expected from a hotel of this quality!!

Nice dinner, on Saturday. Slightly disappointed that a place claiming to be of a certain standard, still sell frozen chips and peas instead of hand cut chips and fresh veggies in this day and age. The beer selection was poor too. I asked what they had and was told. "Foxy blonde and an IPA on tap" I asked if they had any bottled beers like other good IPAs but they didn't. One local beer, which considering there are several local breweries within a short drive is surprising! All the party I was with enjoyed the evening and it was reasonably priced.

Fine dining experience that is great if you have very deep pockets. Pleasant rustic restaurant with wooden floors. Attentive staff.
