Came here and had such a nice lunch that we came back for my wife's birthday. Lovely place with a rustic charm at the back of the butchers with lots of reclaimed wood as the furniture. Lots of local art in the walls, but most are here for the food and daily changing menu. We had whipped goats cheese with roasted veg and Paté, which was delicious. Minute-steak marinated in whiskey with a delicious sauce. My steak was perfect, but my wife's chewy but they were very accommodating and made good on this. All good has local providence and the flavours are excellent.
Fantastic food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We visited for an early lunch, be aware that it can get busy but they do take aways. The quality of ingredients really shines through, veggies are the stars in the thoughtful range of side dishes. My quiche was superb, properly rich and cheesy, and the tomato salad was delicious. Highly recommended.
Ultimate meat place. Butchers at the front meat-fest at the back. Went for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. MassivenYorkshire pudding. Amazing vegetables and the meat I had pork which comes with a crisp strip of crackling was gorgeous. Too full to try and pudding. Also being a Guinness fan, tried Crow Black porter. Was yummy. Forgot to mention everything is locally sourced. Would recommend reserving as it seems really popular.
A lovely little venue with a great deal of unique character! Delicious homemade treats and it’s obvious they’ve gone out of their way to provide the freshest, often organic ingredients. Very popular with locals as well as tourists I thoroughly recommend the sausage roll
This place is all about quality of ingredients. Every item on the place was fresh and everything was cooked beautifully, I had the Pork Chop and it was juicy and delicious. Even the corn and potatoes have a mild smoky flavour which keeps you going back for more. Really good service as well. Just wish they had some draft beer to take this place up a level instead of bottles but even so, still a great place to eat.
