Eagle Taxi are useless. I called at 7.30 in the morning to assure il get a cab to be at my house in cottam for 8.30 so I could be at my job. It's a 15min journey They never turned up, called them and then they sent a driver for at 8.37am I'm sorry but your company is a joke and when I called to let them know how it affects me, he just laughed at me and says do you want me to cancel that cab? After finding myself stranded, eagle taxis came to the rescue, specifically the lovely guy who took my call an the taxi man number 14, who swiftly got me to a petrol station, helped me where he could and made sure that all was well such a kind hearted man then i would still be sat beside the M6 awaiting the AA x Thank you so much for going above and beyond, it could’ve gone very differently, very much appreciated
Steer far away from this company - they will turn up late and then conveniently forget to put on the meter so the office can charge you double the cost for the actual trip. I booked a taxi in advance for 1pm to drop me off at work, and the taxi driver rang me at 1:05 asking for directions to my address. I asked him where he was coming from so I could properly direct him but he didn't answer, and kept saying he just wanted to know "what road the estate is off". I explained that it depends on the direction he's coming from because there are several routes. I then told him all the routes and he hung up. He still hadn't turned up at 1:10 so I rang the office, asked why my taxi was already 10 mins late, and why the driver wasn't familiar with the route. There was no apology - all they said was the driver's 3 mins away and they'll ring him to direct him. I began walking towards the middle of the estate to make it easy for him to find me regardless of what direction he was coming from. He turned up at 1:14 with no apology. All he said was that the job was given to him last-minute, so it's the fault of the office for only just contacting him, despite me booking this in advance. We arrived at my workplace at 1:23 and he asked me what it normally costs me to get there. I said he should just charge me based on the meter reading; he didn't say anything at first, then said he'd contact the office to get a price. After doing this, he told me the price they sent him is £20. I explained that this can't be correct because it's a 10 min max journey and I take longer journeys to the train station that cost me £12-£13. He started arguing that the office fixes the price. I explained that I want to see the meter reading because I was not informed there would be a fixed price for this journey, and I had actually made this same trip 4 weeks ago for half the price. He didn't provide any meter reading or resolution, so in the end I had to pay it so I didn't miss my meeting. I then rang the office and they told me the driver forgot to put on his meter, which is why they charged me a fixed rate. They then had the audacity to compare my journey to another one which I had taken 10 months prior during morning rush hour traffic and using a route that usually takes 25 mins. They also refused to acknowledge that since that trip with them, the new link road has been opened which reduces my journey to work by more than half, and the fact that travelling in the afternoon as opposed to the morning rush hour ensures this journey usually takes me 8-10 mins. They did all this instead of apologising for sending a driver late even when I had pre-booked, the driver turning up late, not putting on his meter, and then charging me double what I had paid with a competitor. Also, the company can even confirm but wouldn't that it was a simple 10 min journey because they know the time I rang them to say my taxi hadn't arrived, they rang the driver to direct him, and they also know the time he contacted them to ask for a fixed quote. The office were yelling replies at me at this point which was unbelievably rude and unprofessional, and then they shockingly said 'if you can't afford a taxi don't book one'. I will never use this company again because they have no customer service skills, will turn up late despite a booking made in advance, and then they'll scam you by charging double for a trip.
Not reliable. I booked a taxi 24 hours in advance for an important hospital appointment allowing twice as much time as necessary. Driver turned up 15 minutes late one star is for calling and letting me know but then did not take the most direct route getting us stuck in heavy traffic, took twice as long and twice the price. During the journey at one point, he ACCELERATED through a red light into FOUR LANES OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC nearly causing an accident and then reversing back to the junction. I arrived 20 minutes late, incredibly stressed and missed my appointment. My essential surgery iv been waiting on for years is being pushed back another three months as a result.. i left work early in order to make this, i waited 3 months for this appointment, i wasted a lot of time, money and mental energy on this failed journey. So overall... pretty terrible experience, wont be using them again.
These people will not answer the phone when your taxi is very late. Cancelled my taxi last minute and made me half an hour late for work as all taxis with other companies were booked after that point.
Personally i would have given this place a 5/5 for being dog friendly, the operator was perfect he understood my dogs life was on the line and sent a taxi immediately but unfortunately the taxi driver Black Mercedes Vito YK12EAN 146 bombarded us with a thousand of questions despite me saying its an emergency, my dogs life is on the line, then he had the cheek to ask for payment upfront despite me telling him my younger brother will pay you as much as you want with my card just please start the journey and because of his “greed” and “not a care given about a life” my dog had passed away by less than 1 minute. Keep an eye out for this disgusting taxi driver!
Taxi was prebooked 24 hrs before for 10.30 am and then he saying he's clearing or whatever took for ages never arrived so cancelled booking disgusting behaviour won't be using this company ever again !
Booked for half 8 school run. Showed up at 9:10. Wouldn’t answer the phone, had to ring on a different phone to get an answer. If u need be somewhere avoid
I prebooked a taxi for 8:35 and when it wasnt there by 8:40 i cancelled and the guy from the office called me about three times just to shout at me that im wasting their time and to never call them again.
Arrived on time for my friend to get to the train station. The driver 'Asif' got out of his cab immediately to help my friend with her suitcase, despite her only having 1 case. He opened the door for her and lifted the suitcase into the cab, whilst helping her. Asif was very smiley, polite and helpful. It's lovely to see, compared to other taxidrivers that I've seen from other companies. Some just remain in their cab leaving struggling customers without even a welcome greeting. We'll done Asif from Eagle taxis.
