The best taxi firm in Preston the drivers are friendly and polite. I called the office last week at one of thier busiest periods the lady remained very professional and gave me an honest answer how long my taxi would be. Ashton taxi is always on time. Drivers helpful with shopping. When there is a need, they can keep the conversation going or they are just silent when you want to talk.
Drivers try to take advantage of people knowing they have had a drink, last night a driver tried to charge me £15 for a 5 minute taxi ride down the road. Do not recommend at all always had a bad experience with them so be aware
I always go Ashton Allid to go home.. given the woman my address I got in taxi and he pretended he didn’t know Preston knowing I had a drink so I guided him to mine from Manchester road to top end of St. Paul’s road on my way home meter was £4.50 I said that’s a lot already please can I get out here because I’m not paying that much from town to there, witch usually cast me 3.50 to got home! Estimated I said I pay you £3 from where I was and that is more then it should be.. he says ok then! Then I rang the office to explain and she said well it’s tarrif 2! Not listening to me saying.. “ talk to yourself”and put phone down! Never in my life have I experienced such nastiness! I felt a bad vibe when I talked to the woman in the office it’s £30 that one maybe she wasn’t taking about me.. but makes sense to go 2.8 Km away from half your your destination. Less then 6 min drive
I hot a taxi today from office yo lane ends the drive was on hands free talking to his family in his language I could hear them replying then had the cheek to charge me 8.30p think this was a disgraceful an expensive will never recommend them yo anyone sn eill mot ever use there service again
How rude do you wanna be. Sorry can't get you a taxi because its £8 up front. Dodgy company won't ever try you again new city are way better
Not professional don’t take care and attention to road , could have been fatal for me and kids if my daughter took another step we were already on road he should have stopped phoned to complain and was hung up on glad I don’t use this company when needing a taxi
This company has gone down hill, they prioritise picking up school children, or what they call the school run, before they pickup regular adult customers. Don’t try get a cab between 8am and 9am or when schools finish in the afternoon. You simply will be told they don’t have a driver available….. sad really the service use to be great
Used ashton many times but today was awful. Booked yesterday to pick us up for 2.30 for physio app at 3. Turned up late after going to wrong house, finally turned up and said he hadn't gone to the wrong house. Had no idea where he was going, got lost and then tried to charge us the extra for his mistake on top of the 2.50 extra he started the meter on while waiting at the wrong house. Just got to the app with 2 mins to spare. Really disappointed and will sadly be going to another company in future.
