The gym has improved massively since new management started and have made many improvements. Staff are always polite, friendly (especially Tom) and approachable and always happy to help out. The classes are well run, for all abilities, and plenty of variety. The gym floor and changing rooms are always clean and everyone works so hard to make it the best gym in the area. They have helped me to achieve my goals and would recommend DW to anyone looking to join a gym.

The staff are bone idle, all sit around chatting to themselves, messing about on their phones, being generally unhelpful and dismissive of members... all while the toilets in the mens changing rooms look like they've had a music festival crowd pass through them.
Then there's the manager, who struts around the place, chest out, hands behind his back, scowling and looking at people down his nose. He looks so arrogant, which is particularly surprising given the paragraph previous in this review defines how poor a manager he is and how weak his leadership must be. I've never seen him look urgent or try to encourage good customer service from his team by setting a positive example.
The facility is run down, the lockers in the mens changing rooms are dirty, most are missing pieces, some are even very difficult to lock. The equipment in the gym is decent when it works but there is nowhere near enough to keep pace with demand at peak times. I often can't get near the free weights I need despite there being an abundance of benches (theres a wide range of weights but only one set of each dumbbell, the popular ones disappear quickly), most of the cable/pulley machines are without the clips and handles needed for them to be used fully, then there are a lot of defunct machines that look like they're part of a mini scrap heap lining one wall (in a month i've seen one guy use one of them, i'm there at least three times a week).
The only thing there is enough of are rowing machines, bikes and treadmills. If you're aiming to use facility immediately after normal office hours you're highly likely to end up disappointed unless that's what you want to stick to. Forget all about the pool unless you're there in the day, again at peak times you're going to be left feeling frustrated that you cant get anything done.
This place is as tired as they come and is in need of some investment, investment that looks unlikely to come given how evident it is that it's been required for some time. If you're thinking of joining, dont. You'll be better off at somewhere cheaper that wont tie you in to a 12 month contract, even if most places do charge a joining fee.

This was the first gym I joined, been a very loyal member since opening. Levels of service, cleanliness, equipment reliability and staff have declined over the last year or so. Struggle to keep the good staff and managers no care for loyal members and are more interested in focusing on children swimming lessons on a weekend instead of looking after members and ensuring facility kept to a good standard rather than the substandard facilty that it is now. Safety is another issue.

It's not a crowded place. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. One downside, men's showers floor needs to be cleaned a bit more often.

sign up for a 12 month membership, and they still take £35 a month after the 12 month contract has run out. i was never told this when signing up that this was the case.
